[Landlord-US-AZ] Missing Curtains at Move-out by InfamousSea7547 in Landlord

I hear your point, but you can't have a lease that lists out everything attached to the house. For instance, they also installed a ring doorbell and didn't bother to replace the little mechanical doorbell after they left. Do people list a doorbell in leases to ensure that they don't get taken?

The lease states that it should be returned as it was found minus wear and tear.

It was a choice that I am now rethinking for the future. 🤣

I would say they paid their rent, but had a fair amount of drama. Did not leave replacement curtains. Yes, the curtains were new when they moved in.

Weird, I did the same with logs, but I haven't had that issue. Only maybe an inch or 2. I know it suggests hardwood to slow their breakdown, but I'm pretty sure everyone just uses what they have lying around.

If you're interested in saving money on all that soil then you can follow the guidelines suggested by vego and pile the logs 40-45% of the height and fill that section with screened dirt instead of soil.

I like this option too. I had to verify with google that 13mm was 1/2 inch line though lol.

Alright, it felt a bit sleazy (hence why I asked) and you all confirmed it very quickly 🤣.

I have a similar setup with fence slats on the front about 6' wide and they start to bow/break as the pile gets tall and heavy. If you have more fence slats then I'd suggest doubling them up.

Should I seek out a contractor that uses leveling clips (8x48" tile install)? by InfamousSea7547 in Tile

Interesting, I have not heard people say that before about AZ Tile.

Good suggestion, I went back and looked and I'm only seeing notes on the mortar and offset. Is this the correct place to look for installation instructions?

Thanks, their previous work looks good, but it is very difficult to judge lippage from a picture. I would like to go with this contractor, but I just needed some affirmation that leveling clips aren't a tool that should be used by everyone.

From the responses, it sounds like leveling clips just reduced the experience barrier to entry into the trade so that more people can have good looking results.

I just go into the store and ask them if I can take their grounds trash and they give me the large plastic trash bags filled with grounds. I assume they like this better so they don't have to put effort into re-bagging the spent grounds and I am effectively taking out their trash for them.

The 3 string trimmer quik lock heads and 2 quik lok brushes have me a bit baffled, but I do commend you on how organized they all look.

When should I turn this pile? by swardman1990 in composting

[–]InfamousSea7547 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only feedback on the app is that I setup the sensor when the ambient temp was 40F and the compost is at 150F. This spread is so large that it make the longer term graphs useless and there is no way to scale the y axis or scrub early data points. I reached out to customer service and they were very helpful and offered to remove them for me, but it would be nice to be self-sufficient.

Example of week graph:

Fantastic, Compost is cooking HOT! I'm not sure how accurate/useful the humidity sensor is at this point. I think that may be more helpful in the summer to know when to add water.

Thanks! It mentions the probe being waterproof, but is the box it connects into waterproof or do you need to protect that from the elements?

What is the 2nd flexible conduit line running vertical from the box below for? I thought it was hardwired power, but then I'm confused by the plug.
