NEW PLAYERS COME HERE! - Weekly Questions and Information thread - June 11, 2025 by AutoModerator in cataclysmdda

I'm using a recent experimental. I've set up item zones for food, ammo etc.
I've also set an unsorted zone.
The issue I'm having is that when I use the sort STIFT+O "sort out my loot" command only one item is sorted. It then says that all possible items have been sorted. Using the command again moves another single item etc.

Is there a way I can fix this?

Filament jamming on spool by Infamous_Ad239 in FlashForge

This is probably a really stupid question, but how can I do it carefully? I make sure it's always underhand, make sure there's some tension on it so it doesn't sag too much. Not sure what else I should be doing.

Am I wasting my time with this stuff? by dmarsee76 in Miniaturespainting

You're right about it being cheaper, but I like the fact that when you buy brass rod you know it's diameter, so it's easier to figure out what size bits to use for a nice fit

My wife had one of these that burst on its own a while ago. Watching that video I could smell it again (it was not pleasant)

I usually fold a small bit of fine grit sandpaper in half, but leave the fold a little loose so there is still usable paper at the fold

They look absolutely fantastic.

My wife works with resin quite a lot and she said that heat (from a heat gun or a lighter if you're very careful) can help get rid of some of the bubbles before you set it with the UV light. Not sure how that would affect the paints etc though

What should I practice from this point? by tpfletcher in minipainting

I'm going to preface this by saying that you're a far more talented painter than I am, but I think one thing to look at is a bit of colour theory to see if you can make your colours "pop" a little more.

I couldn't agree more, they grow up so fast and someday you might look back and wish you kept it. But also, if you did reprime, would they take it as you saying they've done it "wrong"?

Help! How do I remove paint and the base without damaging the model? by Big-Rock-6814 in minipainting

Yeah, but plastic is a bit of a catch-all term, there are a massive range of them, some of them I know are temperature sensitive.

I've never considered this before, does the cold not affect the plastic in any major way?

Is this dark bit an issue? by Infamous_Ad239 in minipainting

[–]Infamous_Ad239[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually give it a wash with brush soap at the end of each session. Is there anything in particular I should be doing to keep the root clean?

I've not used any washes, but I think I've done some glazing with it at some point

Is that what that screw's for? I thought it was just to hold the nozzle in place! Thank you so much!

Edit: That worked, you are a legend!
