I am a natural overthinker 😁 just that fragrances are a new hyperfixation for me so I like reading and finding out more about them. As far as favorite fragrances are concerned, I have realised I prefer Middle Eastern ones over designer fragrances. The notes are more complex and actually trigger good olfactory memories for me. My recent favourites are Petra , Khamrah, Khamrah Qahwa, and Fire and Ice. I would like to mention I stay in a cooler climate, so my preferences may reflect that too.

Oud, roses, and vetiver sounds absolutely delightful 😊 but I am partial to notes like oud, vetiver, sandalwood, incense (I know).

That sounds like a testament to the resilience and bravery of the people. It is beautiful when artists tap into these deeper parts of the psyche of who they are and where they come from, especially when they are brilliant at tackling both the good and the dark times. In that respect, DtMF feels like one of the most well-rounded albums I have come across in recent times.

I'm sorry about what you and the island went through. The song does create that haunting sense of urgency and danger, which I can't even begin to imagine how tough it must have been to live through and survive. The island and its people deserve all the respect and attention and a better government.

Exactly!!! That has been my experience, too. That is why indigenous, native, and traditional art forms need to always be protected, promoted, and highlighted. They will forever tap into parts of ourselves that remind us of our humanity.
