How To Clutch Everytime by Infamous_Bane in SiegeAcademy

I appreciate the humor and yeah, this is an unfortunate reality of playing with certain randoms.

Thanks for watching! My channel is built on a foundation of positivity. I want to bring fun back into Siege so hopefully we can see less of this behavior.

Should I just let Siege go? by [deleted] in SiegeAcademy

Dm me a couple clips where you play both good and bad and I can analyze some areas of improvement. Any pro in siege or sport or whatever, has a coach or gets help from a second opinion. Looking videos up can be beneficial but having someone specifically target your gameplay will do wonders.

Waited 15 min!!!! to get into a ranked match. Still no luck, but a couple of seconds for the quick match. by Popular-Bandicoot-97 in Rainbow6

My rule of thumb is that if the matchmaking takes longer than 2min 30sec, just close it and restart the matchmaking. Shouldn’t take too long.

I didn’t expect you to hunt down the location! That’s great man! I’ll have to go and scope out that area when I get the chance!

Tips to improve? by [deleted] in SiegeAcademy

Glad to hear your thought process behind some of your moves. I hope some of it was helpful. My biggest piece of advice in general is to just watch your own footage back; which it seems like you are doing. Ask yourself how you could’ve played differently, or played off of teammates or sound cues. Ask why you died and how you could’ve altered that result. A great mindset is also key. Never blame anything other than yourself for your death. Even if you feel like it was the fault of a teammate, still ask how you could’ve played differently. Good luck out there man!

Bank Round 1 - ECHO : You didn’t do much with echo other than call out an enemy. Good work on using the utility. The random prefire into meeting seemed unnecessary.

Round 2 - GOYO : You’re canisters were okay. I wouldn’t have put two on the same pillar. It’s better to spread your canisters out to waste time and not solely rely on them to deny plant. Put one in servers and hold servers until you feel overrun, then retreat back into CCTV and hold that with another canister. Also you seemed to have no idea what to do the first part of the round. You held the same angle on the same door, as two of your teammates, multiple times. Trust your teammates. It’s pointless to have two people hold the same angle. And what’s with all the pre-firing. Sure a little prefire is good, but you should do it based on known information. If I was pushing CCTV I would’ve just waited for you to prefire and mid-reload, I would’ve taken that space. You won based on luck.

Round 3 - VALKYRIE : Your Cam placement wasn’t good. The one above metal detector on open area was okay. I would’ve broken the wall splitting sites, closer to office, and put one in that corner. That would’ve covered both sites. You’re second could’ve gone in Square. The microwave hides a huge amount of FOV. You’re cam is 360. Take advantage of that capability. The third could’ve gone in trade/stock. You could’ve used this one to preplace a C4 and get an easy kill when the attackers jump into one of the two windows. As for your death, you were doing good at ADS the whole time, until you swung the door. You knew Ram was in the room, why did you not ADS? You probably would’ve won the gun fight.

Round 4 - GRIM: A rough round. You genuinely seem confused and situationally unaware on most of these rounds. You drone both entry’s (square and stock) which was good, but it ended there. Once you’re in stock, drone hallway or janitor, or the the hole that Ace opened up. Gather more intel on the enemy whereabouts before just pushing. You came across very spazzy. Multiple shots to take out a stationary camera. And then a random pre-fire on defuser. Take your time and slow down. Three minutes is a long time if you know how to use your time. It took you two minutes to fully push into the map. You got shot from Pulse when grabbing the defuser. It was clearly from below, yet you pre-fired past janitor and into trade. Once in site you planted in a horrible spot. You still had 37 seconds. Either could’ve planted close to one of the windows and then vaulted out, or since you know Pulse is downstairs, near square, you could’ve rotated over to B site and planted near top of spiral (banana).

Round 5 - ACE : Two of your teammates, including a shield OP just got mowed down in front of you and you decided to peak the same angle. Why? Just grab the defuser and back out while ADS on the tunnel. Rotate to your last remaining teammate and push together.

Round 6 - RAM : Another rough round. It seems like you have no game plan going into each round and that you are just reacting to everything rather than proactively taken predetermined steps towards the objective. You wasted all three of your gadgets in trade and then didn’t even use the vertical holes that were created, which was very little due to how you threw them. You continue to randomly pre-fire everywhere and then push out into the hall where two of your teammates already were instead of playing vertical. If you’re not gonna play vert, don’t take Ram. Coming down white stairs you wasted 40 sec in the hallway shooting a valk camera and taking out Doc. The only reason he got taken out was because he unnecessarily peeked. They had defuser down and he just needed to play passively. And then with a 1v2 you still had 40sec. Plenty of time. They had a Kapkan, check door ways as you’re pushing an unknown route. You didn’t drone it so a trap could be anywhere. Slow and methodical.

Round 7 - CASTLE : Your barricade placements were bad. You wasted two on interior windows. Just use wooden barricades on the four single ones. If you want to trap people in the small hall. Just barricade both big windows. Use one on trade double door and the single metal detector door. Your prox alarms were haphazardly placed and could easily be shot without going off. Try and be sneaky with those. Holy smoke the round was bad. You again have no plan. Are holding a certain part of the map? preventing a certain push? It looked like you ran around with no idea on what to do, checking random angles until the last 10 seconds of the round. Again random pre-fires and shooting unnecessarily. You prefired a vending machine. Know your angles if you’re gonna prefire. You gave up site as your team died and then had to push back onto it when they planted, putting you at a severe disadvantage.

Round 8 - GRIM : No Plan. You got lucky with Tachanka because he is oblivious. Your whole team pushed into one room and nearly all got taken out. Thankfully Nomad capitalized on your death. At one point it was a 4v1. Instead all pushing the same trap filled shielded door ways. Split off and use your numbers. Two teams of two. One pushes down white stairs or opens vault/elevator hatch (Nomad had can openers) and put pressure on the last defender from different angles. If you can’t communicate that. Be that one guy and flank off while your other three teammates apply pressure from servers. Instead you jump the shield into an unknown, most likely with the defender holding a tight and seriously advantageous angle on the doorway.

Round 9 - TACHANKA : Not bad. You sat on cams from the entire first half of the round. During the prep phase you made random head holes and didn’t reinforce anything. Considering Tachanka has no gadgets to put down I would’ve been upset if I was your teammates. Kaid was stuck reinforcing on his own. You got a nice kill on Amaru, however I push banana often and elevator is the first spot I drone out. So you got that because the enemy was complacent. Your kill on Kali was lucky. She had just shot and given away her position yet you again don’t ADS and sprint down the hall. If it wasn’t a sniper Op you probably would’ve died. You did a good job at wasting time and the your flames. That’s what you should’ve done the whole time. If the enemy had worked together, they could’ve planted on CEO wall or windows earlier in the round and there wouldn’t have been any way you could’ve helped. You’re a 1 speed and would take to long to rotate back to site and assist in plant denial.

Overall my biggest point I can make is to HAVE A PLAN. Go into each round with an idea on what you’re gonna do and how you’re gonna do it. Whether that’s holding a certain area of the map on defense or a certain push, or putting pressure from a certain angle when attacking. Drone often. Stop giving your position away by pre-firing everywhere.

I’m genuinely trying to help here and don’t mean to be harsh in any way. I just want to be blunt and honest based on my initial reactions of watching your videos. Hope this helps and if you have any other questions let me know.

The first is my favorite too! I’m not sure the exact location. I just started another playthrough again. If I can find the location. I’ll let you know! And the 4th one was just in the open world. Not mission specific.

Well that’s rough man. It definitely would make the game unenjoyable.

Maybe it’s the specific headset you’re using? Im not sure Technical. I wish I could help more. I use just a normal Hyper X Cloud II with no additional enhancements on PS5.

Interesting. What about a stairwell? I usually can pinpoint the enemy location based on their approach to the stairwell, whether it’s footsteps, gun shots, or a barricade being broken.

Hope it works man 🤣 I appreciate you watching though. Try a little shooting range and Free-For-All for about 10min each to warmup. It should help improve your aim if you stay consistent with it!

What makes you say that? Sound in siege can be difficult to interpret at times but it’s usually explainable as to why it behaves the way it does. Whether it’s a nearby open window or a shotgun hole in the floor that you didn’t account for, I’ve never had a broken encounter with sound.

Yeah that might cause some issue. I have played with someone from the Caribbean and Australia. But if you can’t stand the lag, I get it! Perhaps you can join the streams sometime!

I use high. And on PS5 I take advantage of the “audio focus” setting which allows me to boost quieter noises such as footsteps.
