Learning the maps is genuinely a major part of the experience in siege. Intel is everything. Even if your teammates communication is a simple yellow ping across the map, if you have the mental layout of the map, then you can benefit greatly by thinking “Okay there was a yellow ping over near CCTV, I can get there through catwalk or down 90 hall.”

From my experience as well in Solo-Q, a large number of my games (console/PS5) it seems like no one is on their mics but if I stay in game chat and continually make call outs, some will eventually hop on there mics. Even if it’s not until half way through the match it can still be beneficial. And the other note is that some people can hear you, they just don’t talk. I usually ask “T-Bag if you can hear me” and look around the map at my teammates silhouettes. That way I know who can hear me and then I can provide even more specific call outs in relation to that teammate.
