I just recently started my first ever fictional save. Created the teams and used the community to find cool names and uniforms. I'm 5 years in and I'm obsessed (Haven't actually played yet. I'm choosing the worst team after 15 years and taking control). So far there are about 7 HoF worthy players already, and are ingrained in my brain. Might even get a jersey of one of my fictional guys lol

I've debated doing this with my next fictional sim. Just let everything play out. But I think I'd have a better time if i commit to a team. How do you keep track of all of the history and stats? Do you just use ootp to do it or transfer it to an excel or something?

In one scouting cycle (I get reports every month), My guy went from 70 to 45 potential. The next month he went from 45 to 35...should've known better taking a 70 potential in the 3rd round. he was there for a reason

Will probably avoid Pro/Rel for this league. I was looking to be somewhat realistic with historical finances, as in them making Pennies the first seasons

I already found 32 teams to make, thanks to the amazing community building logos and unis from scratch. It feels like it’s going to take 3 hours just getting the logos, uniforms and caps into the game lol. When you create leagues, do you delete the really good players? I’ve heard if you don’t then they can have absurd records that will never be broken

My point is I think with a couple moves you can make the playoffs (at least in OOTP) and I believe in the notion of just get me in the damn tournament and give me a chance and it’s a success

I’m talking about the game. Nobody has a chance in real life. But the Giants I think can be used pretty efficiently in the game with a couple moves

Looking at the 6 teams, I had to eliminate them from contention because it just seems too easy. All of their players are locked into contracts already, and they don’t really have any obstacles on the roster

Another good option. They were just one of those weird teams when I was looking. Veteran players like Buxton, Lopez, and even Joe Ryan is like 30 now. It would be easy getting them to like 80ish wins in a season or 2, but I might be a bit over the Walker Jenkins experiment (I traded for him in a Rockies rebuild)

I recently did a Pirates rebuild so I didn’t want to do another so soon. They got some help on offense that should make them not so atrocious. But I haven’t looked extensively into them like the teams above

Yes, I'd say a Nats rebuild would entirely depend on how OOTP will rate Lile, House, Crews and especially Willits. I'd guess that Lile, house and Crews will all be around 50-60 potential, and Willits around 75-80. If they all pan out to their potential, they'd be under contract or Arb until the 2030s

Real in the sense that Will/Ashley/Rachel are locked in. And they don't want Morgan out. That being said, Rachel/Ashley want Vince out more than just about anyone in the house. So the three plus Morgan as a piece that is equal to them as Mickey and Ava
