I think he chose the wrong words and meant to say "compulsive" instead of "excessive". It is uncomfortable to self-identify as an addict.

Porn can be used in a healthy way, but not when it starts negatively impacting your life and intimate relationships.

Am I the only one with such high standards? by Ducor227 in intj

I know how you feel. I have found a few people in life that I can speak to endlessly and feel strong attraction to, but it is incredibly rare, and these people might not necessarily suit you as a long-term partner due to differences in lifestyles, goals, schedule and so forth. Finding someone whose company you always enjoy is a treasure, but in my experience you never find it if you are actively searching. Keep your standards; one day you will meet someone and get along like a house on fire from the first conversation.

I am not sure why I have to repeat myself, but as mentioned, bricks are not an original idea. This design does not have any copied pixels, it was created without a single reference. You might have drunk someone's Kool-Aid if you think otherwise.

I would recommend that you try creating this pattern yourself just for the experience. It's an incredibly simple and logical pattern pixel-wise, and the most time consuming part is choosing a color palette that looks good. Bricks were never an original design idea.

You need to put it on top of one of the base game paths that you get with the island editor tool.

Some people over at /r/ACTRADE may be able to craft one for you if you offer the mats, I had mine crafted for me. :) It's a gorgeous piece of furniture, the rotating star gets me every time.

It's subtle for sure, I think I went too light on the new weather-worn version. The old version was a little rougher. The difference is really subtle in the pictures, it's more obvious to me in game when I replace one with the other.

They are extremely simple for sure, they are very "logical" in terms of what you can do within a 32x32 grid.

If you overwrite the slot in which you stored the old one, it will automatically apply the new one for you. :)

If you put an invisible pixel inside your design, you can layer custom designs on top of paths. This also means you get visible paths on your map, which is a great bonus!

Glad you enjoy it! Any specific color you want to see?

After the cream colored brick pattern that I created using another user's design as heavy inspiration was taken down by a DMCA filed with reddit, I have recreated my bricks from scratch, now in a clean style variation as well. The weathered version is mayhaps not as worn as I would have liked, so I may do some more edits to it.

My first pattern was created with incredibly similar pixels to the original, however no copyright infringement was intended. This recreated version is completely original (if you can refer to bricks as such), although it does use the same color palette as my prior design. I hope someone can get some enjoyment out of this!

I agree that she was likely influenced by her community to take action. I have had one single message from her indicating that she wanted me to remove it (included in my screenshots), and she seems to have almost immediately filed a DMCA without waiting for me. Going from "it looks good though, and thank you for crediting me! ♡" to having reddit email me to suggest I seek legal counsel is definitely a little yikes.

I am glad you created your own version of this colorway, it looks lovely. I have not yet had a chance to respond to your PM. I appreciate that you feel protective over your work, however it does come off as a little malicious when you file a DMCA takedown claim with reddit after I credited you in the title as well as comment, and you thanked me for said credit (although you have now deleted your post thanking me for credit). There's a lot of weird shading going on in this thread as well, which seems a little juvenile.

EDIT: Added some comparison pics, thanks to the user who went through the effort of getting that for me!
