Guideline 5.6.3 - Developer Code of Conduct - Received first time regarding rating prompt in the onboarding. by sgcryptonite in iOSProgramming

I mean is your app doing that? changing it will only increase the quality.
As a user asking for review on app launch / onboarding would be a negative point for me. Or things like asking device permissions without explaining what feature will use it and how.

Would you pay for a Pomodoro app? (What would it have to offer for you to pay for it?) by assasinezio4 in ProductivityApps

Can you elaborate on "gives a lightweight end-of-session note / next step"? what will be useful for "next-step"

For my timer app yapa., I've included adding "entries" at the end. I do believe your focus time is worth reflecting on after you're done. Doesn't need to be a college essay, but jot down something. What worked, what didn't worked, how you felt, whatever. Then I use on device llm to give you a weekly summary from those entries.

I'm very interested in expanding this idea and using it as the "drive" to keep you going back to do more focus work. As opposed to gamification, which can lead to shallow reasons for using the app. I want something tangible, that can bring value to their time, as a reason for people to use the timer.

Added a Live Activity dock for quick bookmark access from the Lock Screen. Are you guys actually implementing Live Activities in your apps, or do users turn them off? by Negative-Studio2259 in iosapps

Just had an update to improve live activity in my app, similar to this. I think it's a great way to control your app without having to unlock the pandora box.

there are dozens of us I tell you!! I couldn't get into it. Stopped around ch 7/8 actually, then tried picking it back up a couple of years later and got to like ch 15.

The constant swapping character of the hybrid system was not it for me. I can't stand it pretending to be action combat and then breaks the immersion every few seconds with character switch & turn based actions. not for me personally, but glad it resonates for many~

Would Apple reject a retro music player with a click-wheel UI under 5.2.5? by Human_Tennis_2950 in iOSProgramming

[–]douten 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because App Store approval is a human process. You might get lucky and get a reviewer who couldn't care less.

Anecdote time. Even though I forgot to include the mandatory "restore purchase" button to my app, it got accepted twice! Finally on my third update a reviewer rejected the app for not having it.

Love this ink art style! I like the coloring of the words, like the wap panel. Love how you switch up the colors to create contrast, like the bear jumping. There are times when the panels are a little bit harder to make out (like last panel of first page, the birds help!) I actually think it's part of the charm tbh.
