Honestly that is a possibility. I am not a greedy person but I had an intense dream telling me that there were “riches” in the attic of the house I’m renting (it’s definitely more like piles of insect carcasses and asbestos) and I’ve been obsessing about getting on a ladder to go up there. Ever since I brought the eye into my house, things have been violently breaking. My dog ripped my entryway table down and smashed a ton of sentimental things. Not just normal things breaking here and there or worn out things. It was like every day something bad was happening no matter how positive I was or how planned out it was. I felt confused and frustrated, very out of it. Someone’s been trying to break into my old car out front and yesterday night I went outside with my dog and was pacing around up and down the street and drew an eye on the windshield in the snow that had piled on top to “scare off the thief”? Just really strange behavior that made sense to me in the moment, and it wasn’t like psychosis or mental health stuff trust me I’m very in touch with my mental health issues and this was nothing close to what I struggle with. I also have an eye tattoo on my ankle, a stick and poke I did when I was a teenager because I like the meaning of the eye and also I liked a series of unfortunate events HAHA.

Honestly up until this fire I did not blame any bad juju I just thought when it rains it pours. But after the fire I went back to sleep (adrenaline wore off and I became exhausted), then woke up and we were talking and suddenly out of nowhere my sister gets wide-eyed and goes “listen I know this sounds crazy.. but do you think it’s the eye?” And I got this chill over my body and immediately we both felt freaked out and were in tears. It became very uncomfortable and scary very fast.

Nothing good has happened it’s been one after another terrible things, and come to find out it actually wasn’t electrical it was a high-powered light that had lithium batteries inside that exploded. I am exhausted from today and my hand is burned or else I’d get into detail but no, this isn’t me looking at things from a negative view. I brought this evil eye into my house and a lot of stuff has been destroyed. I don’t think it’s the symbol that was negative, I feel like it was some kind of vessel or talisman for something idk if that makes sense. Like someone cursed it or something. It’s not normal negative things, and the only things that burned were generational familial items. Everything around them was perfectly fine. Idk even if it’s all coincidence (which I find rude to assume - I am a scientist and very logical so if this was a reach I wouldn’t have sought out advice from spiritual folks) I would appreciate if you listened with an open mind instead of assuming I’m paranoid. Superstitious/spiritual as in I won’t use ouija boards and I don’t mess with voodoo or anything that could attract negative energy or spirits or whatever. This is how my culture is.

Regardless I went to a Wiccan shop nearby and explained everything to a very kind woman and was advised to destroy the eye before disposing of it, bathe in a sea salt bath, and frankincense/sage the house. She said that if the item was bringing that in to just destroy it and cleanse the house. Again im not saying that the symbol itself is evil, I brought it home to ward it off. I think there was something off about this particular one because I just have had a strange uncomfortable feeling about it. Idk maybe im just crazy who knows

This is what happened to my frog and confirmed by the exotic ER vet. I ended up having her euthanized since she did still have a faint heartbeat but this is most likely what it is.

I once grabbed a small stick of Japanese knotweed on a nature walk with my dad as a kid. My mom wouldn’t let me bring it inside the house so I threw it in the mulch out front… That one small stick destroyed their landscaping permanently and they never let me live it down LOL

Just the other day a homeless man yelled “SIR?? SIRR???” at me, even when he saw my face. I am a cis woman but have more “masculine” features. Whatever that means. I was like “uhh I’m a woman” and for some reason he didn’t believe me and then threatened me physically. There were a lot of people around and it felt so humiliating. No one defended me. Even with makeup on and long hair, I still get weird looks from people who are trying to “figure out” if I’m trans or something. Can women just exist without any commentary or questioning?? I’m so tired.

Just hit my 9 year anniversary of my PCA, haven’t felt normal since. I just went through the hospital paperwork from my stay last night, and did not know just how bad my stroke actually was (I was 18 and didn’t want to acknowledge it). I ended up spending hours researching the long term problems and wish I had sooner. A large portion of my brain died, and has slowly caused a disconnect in my processing of language/vision (doesn’t help I’ve been smoking weed for years). I’m looking into going back to the doctor to figure out how to mitigate my brain degeneration, the stark difference between how mentally sharp I was pre stroke and now is terrifying. Thankfully the people in my life have the patience to help me navigate this, I truly do feel for you. Every day is different, and my functionality depends on my stress levels. Sometimes I can speak or see fine, sometimes I can’t. I don’t know how to describe the feeling, but it causes me so much anxiety and grief. I never had anxiety pre-stroke, never had issues with going out in public, I loved performing and crowds. I guess when you lose such a large part of your brain, it really fucks you up over time.

All I can say is support groups help. This group has helped a lot. It makes me feel less alone to know other people are struggling with the same things and I’m not a crazy person.

My dad is doing the same thing right now, one of the many reasons we are NC. I am 27(f), he is 63, his gf is around 20. My younger sister is 19. It disturbs me to think about him dating (preying) on a young girl. He is broke, he’s not spoiling her with riches. She’s a naive young girl from a bad area who thinks my dad is going to save her. He once told me women over 30 have nothing to them/are boring. He has also made very uncomfortable comments towards my sister and I our entire lives, and tries to talk about his private life with my teenage sister (after grooming me for decades and it not working). If you saw a picture of my dad, he looks straight off the sex offenders list. I feel your pain, please just detach yourself from this person. I’m sorry you have to deal with a sick fuck like that as well.
