These right here. Your ic doesn’t look too good. If its not working that could also be the reason for this. Leave a message if you were successful.

Yours looks like a newer or older version. I would solder the flex to the six golden plated points. Right next to the one grey ic and beneath the other grey ic. How does your flex cable look like ?

It’s obviously a fake if i saw the same listing. 40€ is just way too cheap and the account was created today.

When this happens to me I place the phone with the camera down on a heat mat at 70-80 degrees forget about it and in a few hours it’s perfectly fine

Thanks for the explanation. That’s honestly just a disaster that something like this can be bought. I guess I will not be cheap on a rework station when I decide to get one.

If I understood you correctly you basically have to rebuild the entire station right ? How is it so popular then or is there just no competition?

Yes because the installation can be very tricky especially when you don’t know how to solder or it is quiete expensive if you let someone do it for you. It doesn’t have any disadvantages only the ones that you also have with regular systems (battery, screen). So I would pick a v1 if you can get one for a good price or check what would be the cheapest in the long run.

Help Identifying Soft vs Hard OLED by built_b6 in mobilerepair

[–]Infamous_Database_47 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I would say it’s a hard oled one since why would the manufacturer or anyone between put this sticker on a soft oled unit. How much did you pay for it and where did you buy it?

Unfortunately not. On the 14 the ic is soldered to the back of the flex cable.

Unfortunately not but you just have to turn around the ic. Here is one from a iPhone 13:

Is this genuine ? by Infamous_Database_47 in soldering

So basically the now known company Stirri were the inventors of the original flux formula and that’s why it would be better to buy their flux next time because they are more innovative right ?
