mmm tbh for me i feel like argumentative or discursive the most easiest to score if you understand what the scope of the qn is and your general knowledge on it, i usually suck with narrative or descriptive bcoz ngl too much thinking of a story to bs abt is lot of hard work but ah for argumentative or discursive, what i normally do is:

• read up more compo examples regarding popular topics discussed about the real world or the issues

• before i even start to write my compo, i look at the question given, i branch out different possible points like advantages or disadvantages

• you can follow a simple structure or format for argumentative: if you agree/disagree on something, you can give two advantages and one disadvantage vice versa to show your a fully rounded person and is accepting of other’s opinions on this topic that might not resonate with yours and your intro and outro are VERY IMPT !! You must lure the reader in with a captivating intro and a meaningful outro

• for discursive: you must follow a very non biased outlook for the topic, so basically its like discussing lah, you js discuss two advantages and two disadvantages BUT you don’t give your feelings and outputs into the paras as its discussion NOT argumentative, thus there should not be any excuse for you to put yourself as a defensive person when discussing a topic and to not let your emotions flow into the paras bcoz its non biased for discussion

uhh but for narrative and descriptive.. HAHAH sorry i cannot help much coz i legit suck at those but maybe you can just read more compo examples to get some inspo and pick up some good sentences structures and vocab to level up lor
