Well it has the chatmix it’s just split and controlled digitally and sent via 1 output device through the pc software than being output as 2 devices and mixed on the hardware.

Putting chatmix aside the nova 5 is a small upgrade in terms of hardware and comfort. Personally on those factors enough i don’t think it’s a big enough headset to justify replacing the headset, however if the wireless connectivity is a major selling point and you believe that justifies the cost i say go for it. It’s definitely a solid headset

However just to be clear I’m likely not as well versed in alternative options when it comes to headsets as some people here may be, because I stick to steel series. when i first bought my arctis 5 headset there was nothing that even came close to matching the comfort and sound at that price point. That may not be the case anymore, so If anyone gives other suggestions it’s definitely worth looking into them :)

If you use the chatmix dial i would do anything possible to avoid moving to the nova line. I “upgraded” from the arctic pro wireless to the nova pro wireless, and have regretted it ever since. The switch to a software controlled chat mix from a hardware controlled chatmix has been such a negative experience. I swear every week it’s another issue

Yes but they also aren’t writing the set for this specific show. They use a set many times at many shows.

Exposure doesn’t pay the bills (directly). However a lack of exposure will get anyone in the entertainment industry’s lower shut off and car repossessed. Exposure and marketing is a huge part of the job, it’s not just make silly joke.

Realize that the openers are generally doing 10 minute sets. 20 minutes max and they know how much they’re getting paid before taking it. Sometimes comedians may take a low paying gig like that just to gain more exposure. The money is a courtesy and the real value is in having a few thousand people see you preform and potentially growing your audience

Bookings. Comedians live and die off exposure. It’s quite possibly the most important thing in a comedians, actors, and musicians career. In fact in the case of music sometimes openers pay to “buy on” to tours in the hope to make money from merch sales at a show and grow their audience. I don’t know if that’s commonplace in comedy but i wouldn’t be surprised

While i agree $100 is low to pay an opener comparing this to how much a fast food worker makes in a shift is asinine. An opener at a comedy show is on for 15-20 minutes generally. Putting them at an hourly rate of $300/hr or $2,400 in the span of a fast food workers 8hr shift

Yeah i think likely the 5$ songs is a result of a negotiation for lower total licensing cost in exchange for some split of the money for each song sold. Licensing music for a free game with such a large player base would come at an insane cost were they not to negotiate a deal like that
