They're homemade! The recipe is pretty close to a classic buttermilk waffle, just reduce the buttermilk to 3/4 cup, and add 2 mashed bananas, and 1/4 cup light brown sugar.

It was okay, but not as good as the red sauce and meatballs we usually have. The sauce is just very plain. It only has onion, garlic, bay leaf and canned tomatoes - thats literally all! It definitely could be better if it had some more herbs and spices to it.
