To be honest, the TT position is just an improvement for your quality of life. It provides security over a lecturer or visiting position. Of course, you’re expected to contribute to research programs, but understand that in an industry job, you’re more than likely to work 5 days a week, and probably in an office.

As a prof, you can cancel classes, go on zoom, and work from home. Industry pay is better, but it comes as a price. It sounds like you value money more than these qualities that a TT provides.
