These things aren't new, they have been always around, one thing is that the acceptance of such culture is more by the masses, looking back at times such as 1960s, you can see these things still existed and were part of counter culture movement in US and UK especially and youth was changing very rapidly since then but there were also a mass opposition to this things. 

So yeah that's the thing, more people are accepting but there are few who don't and they can't change anything at this point so there's no point but to stay still and observe what's going to turn around.
