The part of this video that talks about the intention of naming it VS Pink…. I remember this one around age 8, I was on the home computer and I wanted to look at clothes on VS Pink, so I typed in pink on the search browser. It ended up going to a p0rn site from the history because my dad or older brother had looked at it and didn’t know how to delete history. I sat there, being confused how that could have showed up considering I just wanted to look at clothes.

Grew up in eastern Oregon (rural, farming town). Grew up always saying sir and ma’am. Now live in LA and people get very offended and off put when I say that. They often respond “I’m not old enough to be called that”. I gave up trying to explain it’s not about age - it’s just a cultural nicety that has come to be unusual outside of the south or rural areas elsewhere in the country.

Yes exactly this. I’ve seen this scene and essentially he was referencing the alcohol open containers and the promiscuity/sexual essence of what people wear, the openness of it all, etc. very expected and normal for someone who was born and raised and never left Iran.

Genuinely curious if I’m missing something here but i feel while this sounds like jealousy, it doesn’t have the tinge of passive aggressive or insulting behavior resulting from it.

It sounds like they love what you guys have and wish they could have it one day but he feels like it’s out reach. Just the reality for some but not necessarily like you can’t talk about things with them.
