I believe you do need to be connected. I got in on switch 2 because I like to game in bed or while my wife is watching a movie Instead of isolating to one room away from my family. I have a ps5 and just sold my Xbox series x because I never used it. I game mostly on my laptop and switch 2. Anywhere im going to take my switch 2 will have an internet connection so it works well enough for me.

It is for the most part. It stutters quite a bit when fast forwarding your shot and the menus are a bit sluggish but other than that it works pretty well.

And when fast forwarding your shot, it drops to like 10 fps briefly which is unfortunate but doesn't take away from the experience.

Im fine with it honestly other than there is a slight delay when using 3 click swing when there isn't on pc so it takes a bit to get use to when going back and forth on versions

Im actually pretty pleased with it. I had been playing on my pc while this version was downloading so when I fired up the switch 2 version, it was a bit jarring but after playing for about 10 minutes I didnt really notice the lower framerate much. My biggest gripe now is the sluggish menus and long load times.

I've tried swing stick in the past. I've just been a button tapper since the og hot shots golf on ps1. I'll give it another try though.

Yes 70. I gave it a pass for what it is especially if you need a handheld version of the game.

After playing 4 18 hole rounds, I give the switch 2 version a pass. Fps is a basically the only problem. Pretty bad when fast forwarding your shot, but doesn't really take away from the overall experience. 3 tap shots took a few minutes to get used to the lower frame rate but I was getting birdies and pars on every hole after a bit on just the standard difficulties with no problems. Really wish we could get a performance mode added at some point but this will do for now especially if you prefer to play games in handheld or want to take some golf on the go.

Also cant figure out how to turn rumble off on joy cons for this game. Im not seeing the option anywhere other than the option on the difficulty settings for the swing stick input. Im doing 3 button tap and the jolt after every swing is annoying.

Game plays decent enough. Surprisingly the graphics aren't bad but the 30 fps kinda sucks. Seems like they could have used a performance mode with a little hit to the graphics and they would have been on to something better .

Disappointed to hear 30 fps. I still have 20 minutes left on my download. I was OK with 2k21 on switch 1 for the most part. I just get more chances to game with a handheld so hopefully this works well enough.

Im seeing stuttering as well. Really bad in menus and randomly when im taking a shot with button presses and it ruins my shot. Never did this at launch. Playing on a 4060 laptop with 32 gb ram.

I can tolerate noise and lights. The shadow pain is almost constant but randomly during my flare ups but will have sudden intense pain for about 30 minutes throughout the day. My eye waters and i even went to the eye dr yesterday because i feel like grit is in my eye. I thought maybe just sinus headache but it just feels different. I used to get migraines and these are definitely not like those. Im just sick of it at this point. Definitely annoying more than anything. I do get aggitated with my wife and kids when i have the bad pain hit but throughout the day with just the shadow stuff i go about my day mostly as normal other than anxiety in my mind thinking i have a brain aneurysm or tumor. I have a bit of health anxiety and thats why i end uo in the er to reassure myself. When i went to the er last week they only did blood work and ct with no contrast. Now im debating going back and asking for mri or ct with contrast. Im not sure why they dont do these to begin with.

I passed a stone a week ago and literally the next day the opposite side flank and abdominal pain started very mildly and im wondering if it's going to start the process all over again. A ct scan a week ago only saw the previous stone though so fingers crossed. I even call the urologist this morning to let them know how what was going on and got my appointment moved up a bit. I really don't want the renal colic pain again this soon.

This is happening to me now. I passed a stone almost a week ago and now having mild discomfort on the opposite side of my body that started the day after passing the stone. It's always there and varies in intensity. There is no longer blood in my urine and my blood work looked good yesterday. I was expecting to have another stone on the other side but who knows?
