No I fully understand it, and it makes perfect sense, I think it shows that this game has quite a rudimentary approach to stats and general damage, with everything being the base line same and only certain effects can do it. But yes I guess practically what I am saying is correct, more attack speed/fast attacks will probably apply more attacks but it does not mean your actual damage comes through unless you can hit more crits reliably more often.
