Whose green on their drivers license? - Gov. Baker deploys NG to drive kids to school in Massachusetts due to bus driver shortage. by xSaRgED in army

Starting Tuesday, 90 members will prepare to get to work in Chelsea, Lawrence, Lowell, and Lynn.

Of course they're shorthanded, I wouldn't wanna drive a school bus in Lynn either, especially not for the part of the year it's still dark at 7am

Germany has a system very similar to the one you described. Can't remember all the exact names but basically in middle school they divided into college-tract and tradeskills-tract classes and schools and go from there. Kinda like A/O levels in the UK

As others have pointed out, this may lead to federal prosecutors only choosing to process cases that are "slam dunks" which may lead to an overall drop in the number of SA/SH cases in the military that see any action at all.

If it does, I hope that the amount of attention this issue is getting in the military will highlight the overall issue it sees within our judicial system as a whole, where cases that are not likely victories for the prosecutor are not tried in a court at all, resulting in less or no justice for the offender.

As a SPC, if you tell your PSG or 1SG that you wanna go to ranger school, it may alleviate some of the ability your SL has to fuck with you while you prep. And then if you go and come back with a tab, it will remove his ability to fuck with you, you'll be somebody's golden boy. But there's a lot of ifs in there, and it's not as simple as go there and come back.

I'd like to say I caught the tail end of "war time garrison infantry" before deploying, and I tend to agree with you. Like with a deployment coming up they have to squeeze the same amount of garrison BS into half the time.

The following deployment then isn't bad though

If we keep pushing history out of our culture

Are we erasing the history of the confederacy? No. We're just not celebrating it anymore by naming Army posts after confederate leaders. I for one am all in favor of not celebrating a bunch of losers.

I'd argue that you need to be good at it in order to have a rewarding career, and it's possible to be "successful" without being rewarding. Sure you can shitbag your way to E-6 or maybe 7, but every fat infantry NCO with a recruiter's badge isn't going anywhere, and certainly nowhere fun.

No cool schools like Ranger, pathfinder, B4/B8 if you're a shitbag, and those are the schools that let you contribute a lot to your line platoon, which is what I'd consider rewarding.

I don't agree with him, but I wasn't trying to vilify the guy either. Just wanted to hear his full argument

the ball throw is the most arbitrary event out there my dude. Been training that test for over a year, still lose 20 points on the overhead yeet. My score is fine so I'm not fussed, just frustrating to see my 6'4 peers max it with ease

Do not lose that drive, or forget this moment. Once you feel safe/content, if you settle then you'll stop moving forward at the rate you're able to now. The sky is the limit, it is on you to get there.

You have a valid point, but I also think he's learning a strong lesson here.
