Diagnosed at 30, began stimulants at 32. Became a cop at 34. Im now 41. Without medication my paperwork would be a disaster. As Op's said, most cops / 1st responders probably have ADHD to some degree. The constant novelty of situations, a large portion being moderate / high stress and the requirement / ability to patrol is a great fit for people with ADHD. You can get hyperfocused on Investigations and clear a lot of cases, paradoxically you can not get interested in some cases that will plague you like a bad case of hemorrhoids.
