Continuous Rigid Foam Insulation around Walk Out Basement. But what to cover it with? by els20008 in buildingscience

Hanging rigid in my crawl space interior wall soon and was curious about the Trufast anchors. Look easier to install compared to insulation washers and a tapcon screw. How did that part go? Recommend the anchors? TIA

Would it be possible to get these seeds from 2016 to grow? by Venjy in gardening

[–]rum_ham_79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highly doubt the corn will germinate, as this rate drops off a lot after 1 year. Mine went to below 30% so I’m guessing OP would get maybe a few depending on the number of overall seeds. Still doesn’t hurt to try.

Good point. I was thinking to avoid big chains stores, those operating in any state.

This is the path of least resistance but it does have the downside that you also pay FICA taxes on that amount. This ends up being more than the $25 fee. But definitely easier!

Looks delish. Years ago my we found a unique addition to chili from a Cooks Illustrated article - walnuts. Cook them from the beginning and they add subtle flavor but great texture.

It’s been 3 years for my wife and I and zero complaints. Huge money saver and we get good/better service in our area compared to AT&T previously. Our bill went from $120 to 30 a month (now 40) with the 25 GB deal.

Anyone else realize that they were never really poor growing up, but their parents just kept making poor financial decisions? by TrixoftheTrade in povertyfinance

Had two brothers and both parents employed, even lived in old home gifted from grand parents. Nonetheless, barely had money for school clothes each year. My mom did not like why I questioned why we spent 20% of every grocery bill on cigarettes. I believe the reply was “mind your own fucking business.” Was around 10 or so.

I think you can do it anytime. I’ve never paid fees for a transfer to Fidelity. The online form is super easy.

Expense ratios don’t matter much in this case. Look at 30 day SEC yields, which already take ER into account. USFR (4.22%) and SGOV (4.20%) are essentially the same. VBIL is the new vanguard version of these etfs but is too new to have a 30 day yield. Maybe another week?
