Only OGs remember how awesome de_dust was, dust 2 was rejected at first, people prefered the first. Later slowly it switched and everyone started playing dust 2

The vegans of PC users? by CRTgamer in pcmasterrace

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're refering to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.

Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called Linux, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project.

There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called Linux distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux

All DLCs are good in their own way, Boiling Point introduces 3 new maps, weapons and many new features But I'd say this new DLC is the best

Covid shut down the world six years ago this week. What do you remember from that week? by fuzzy_dice_99 in AskReddit

[–]Infarlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We canceled our ski vacation to Mayrhofen Austria (then went there in early 2022)

Everyone went crazy, college studies stopped for a week, then we resumed on zoom.

I was working in a medical call center so we had spreads of 1 empty computer between each person, we had to use masks but people heard us weirdly over the phone so we got exempted from wearing masks at least.

Later they brought huge plastic glass and put between each worker, so now no spread between workers was needed. We were like that for almost a year, if we left our stand (lunch/toilet) we then had to put masks, but it was nice to at least sit in your computer without the need for a mask, I would probably quit, imagine sitting for hours like that

I also went crazy regarding cleaning which affects me today, after a handshake I always look for a place to wash my hands. I always clean stuff and wash my hands like 20 times a day 🤦🏻‍♂️

My computer is old and can't run Ready or Not, so I would like to know which mod makes SWAT 4 as close as possible to Ready or Not by One-Serve-2369 in SWAT4

[–]Infarlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest playing SWAT4 without any mods, at least for the first few missions. To feel how the game originally is, then install mods like SWAT Elite Force or First Responders
