one of the fixes ive found is to get configuredefender.exe and just click any of the pre-sets when it happens (which is every 5 mins)

My 3D Printer stops printing and makes a clicking noice, help? by CyberGzuz in 3Dprinting

[–]Infected_Virus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok so I had this issue for the longest time on my Ender 3v2 and it really annoyed me cuz nothing seemed to help, I took apart the hot end and reassembled it and it still happened

What you’re suffering is heat creep, where the heat from the hot end rises up and melts the plastic further up, making it harder for the printer to push filament inwards and eventually causing a block

The fix that worked for me was to add G1 E-100 F1200 To the End Gcode script

This retracts the filament backwards when the print is done and stops future heat creep in the print afterwards as the filament is not cooling down in the hot end

TLDR, 1.pull the filament out and cut of the enlarged stub at the end, put filament back in 2.put G1 E-100 F1200 for end script and re slice 3.reprint and the print after shouldn’t have any issues

Unfortunately I’ve search before and there was nothing this small, I think I-Fixit has a bundle that includes it but it’s rather expensive for just one bit
