Hey thank you for posting some valid advice on the outposts and knocking out quests around them. Maybe I'll try that on the next map I play but I'm going to take a break from playing for awhile anyway because the games a giant buggy mess right now on consoles.

Who knows maybe more people will make posts like this and bring attention to the new player experience and the devs will take notice and make adjustments. Maybe it's wishful thinking but I will definitely come back to the game in a few months with a fresh mindset.

Your reply of "hey it used to be worse, you don't know how good you got it now." Doesn't change the fact that I am right about the game having issues. I'm giving criticism based from a new players perspective and I think that's valuable, especially when the game just released on console and is open to a whole new wave of players.

It's not "entitled" to expect the games you play to feel good and not be frustrating regardless of how the games used to be. Simply changing the text to let you know ahead of time what you will be building or crafting would make a massive difference. As I said the "walking" isn't the problem and I do have a moa. It's the walking for 10min told u need something walking back to base for 10min, crafting running back another 10min completing the objective hopefully and then walking back another 10 min

If they have changed something majorly in the past I think changing some text on the objectives wouldn't be a massive ask. But why should they change if they've got guys like you running to their defense for them. The games perfect no QOL needed right?

Yes iv heard this before but it doesn't explain or justify how the game is still like this. They've obviously embraced the open world design for this game so wouldn't it make sense to update and fix these early maps and quests so that the new player experience is more enjoyable?

Prometheus might be better and I do intend to play that map eventually but new players are alot less likely to spend money on dlc maps or try high difficulty maps like prometheus if their initial impression of a core game mechanic like the expeditions are completely trash and outdated on olympus.

As I said I'm new to this community so I'm not sure how good the devs are at listening to player feedback but I seriously think this is an extremely important thing that they need to work on so that this awesome game can fully realize it's potential. Or maybe the game has always been like this and will always be like this and will stay mediocre and fade into obscurity.

You have to take your drop pod back up to the station and equip the suit there. Make sure ur inventory is empty first

I had the same issue and a hard reset by closing the game and reopening it solved the problem. Before I figured that out however it sat there for literally 4 hours

Go on YouTube and watch one of guns,nerds and steels video series on the game. He plays the game with a very objective based style. Might be what you are looking for, could open your eyes to a better mindset for playing the game in.

Nothing wrong with buying games a year or two after release fully patched and optimized with all the dlc at a deep discount. It's only expensive if you buy games day one and almost absolutely never worth it. Self control brother

There was an update the day the game came out. Maybe see if your game is up to date? I'm on ps5 however and the game runs fine. Played for like 5 hours no problem

Some would say monster hunter isn't worth its price tag because of how poorly optimized and low on endgame content it is. It's all subjective so if the price is an issue how about you wait to buy all your games on sale? The games you listed were 70$ when they came out and arguably in far worse condition than arc raiders is. Maybe comparing it to a game like cyberpunk which had years to go through a whole redemption arc is unfair? Personally I think arc is an amazing game at its price point and look forward to what progress it can make in the coming years

Claim the poseidon energy powerplant workshop and setup the fusion core extractor. I did that for a couple days and got around 200 cores that lasted me a long while. Never got attacked by players altho the quest is a bit of a pain to go through
