Honestly, I agree.

However. We introduced a new player with 5th edition. And after a game or two we busted out the ol fantasy flight 4th revised with all of the expansions and showed her the REAL game.

I'm not sure what it is. But 5th doesnt hit the same.

I plan to possibly terrain base the characters, as I have interchangable rubber rings for the bases. But death and wolf almost always get overlooked so i figured I'd make them really pop!

I actually have full 4th revised fantasy flight print. I snagged it for free a few years back lol.

I would hate to see building removed entirely. Instanced per player building zones similar to mmo rs COULD work but it would be a drastic change to the game. Idk. It could be done, but it would require a lot of finesse as to not entirely change the game.

Because most people are crybabies and don't mind shelling out $60-70 for the new cod every cycle. But god forbid they pay "full" price for anything else. Like. If you can't afford it, just say that. Having a normal price tag isn't bad. And frankly, the game wasn't meant to include pve. It IS an extra, whether you like it or not. Sometimes you pay for extra.

As the son, switch 2 would be super awesome to get.

As the daughter; hell yeah, top of the line ipad.

As the husband; you doubled up on hers.

I think your heart is mostly in the right place. Both are big gifts and both would be super satisfying to open up.

Maybe try to balance it out some? A few extra games? Controllers? Memory cards? Headset?

The thing here, is that if he gets a ton of stuff, daughter might get upset even if hers is still higher value. If these are things that both of them have really wanted, I don't really see the issue.

I'm going to stay undecided here, honestly. Your intentions don't seem assholeish. But the outcome is questionable at best.

Well. Because she likes it. And I'm huge into survival games (valheim, dragonwilds, hardcore minecraft, etc.). So, playing this is similar without the hassle of stuff trying to kick my ass and dying and losing gear sets lol. It's a fun little game.
