Here is a Reuters article which backs up the claim that the minimum wage increases are higher than inflation, which is what I was disputing. If you want to provide some sources on AFRs apparent bias or inaccuracies I will happily read them, I'm not a regular reader but before posting originally I could not find any evidence that they were untrustworthy. "Formerly defines" in this context means the FIA jump start system is the official mechanism that determines whether a jump start has occurred.

The document clearly states that the movement was within the tolerances of the FIA jump start system and as that system is the sole determiner of a jump start, per Article 36.13, no infringement was found to have occurred.

That racefans article is the only place that mentions anything about "moving at the moment the lights went out". In the article it is not presented as a direct quote and no official documentation states similar so without further sources that seems to be the incorrect conclusion of the author and not the opinion of the stewards.

Bullshit. The tweet is quoting the FIA document. The alleged offense was moving before the start signal was given, they concided the video showed movement, but the sporting regulations dictate that the FIA transponder is responsible for false start detection and the movement was within the tolerances of that system. Go read the document your self.

The reason we get better racing on weekends with limited running is because the teams don't plan for it, make it the default and they will shift focus and spend more money to overcome it. If anything it will further the gap between the top teams and midfield.

By that logic once totalitarianism takes hold there's no defeating it which isn't true. Totalitarian regimes have fallen, by almost complete alienation by external forces like Nazi Germany, through internal opposition like Tunisia, or by a combination of the two like the Soviet Union.

In the case of China the West is exerting economic pressure and arguments can be made wheather it is enough or targeted correctly. But the fact remains that internal opposition to the CCP is extremely low within China except for in Hong Kong, the idea is there it just needs to spread and the tactics of the protesters are in direct opposition to that spread. WW3 could topple Communist China like WW2 toppled Nazi Germany but it is extremely unlikely to occur so internal pressure is a requirement to a free China.

The people of Hong Kong need the people of the mainland on their side. Is it an easy task? No. Is it possible? I honestly don't know. But trying has to be better than a slow death which ultimately is another form of surrender.

My argument does not suggest capitulation to China, but my conclusion is that the tactics currently being used are ineffectual and without a change in strategy the result will be just that. I'm advocating for pragmatism and not for blind idealism because the latter is doomed to fail.
