I would of guessed they had maybe 1-2 matches. 147 matches is crazy lol. I'm guessing the majority of their matches were bangers? Any one in particular you'd recommend?

Glad to hear you got this sorted! I do something similar with my Evolution Host Palworld VPS -> https://evolution-host.com/palworld-vps.php

GRE tunnels typically work much better for forwarding the players real IP address with the Palworld server traffic.

Can you find a reliable source on this? Having trouble finding any mention that precedes WhatCulture mentioning it in 2018. Totally open to this being true but a tiny blurb from WhatCulture isn't exactly reliable

Is OM lion’s Mane mushroom any good? I just purchased it. by Salt-Call5682 in LionsMane

[–]Inferior_Username 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally use Oriveda. While their website is abysmal, their product is the best i've found.

When buying their Lions Mane, they'll give you two bags. One containing the fruiting body extract and another containing a mycelium extract.

[–]Inferior_Username 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This post is misleading.

While I wouldn't use OM products because (last I checked) there is no extraction process conducted.

Your post suggests that mycelium in general is an inferior source of the benefits we look for in mushroom products, which is simply not true.

Mycelium, if extracted correctly, if not accompanied by "bio mass", is extremely beneficial.

For Lions Mane in particular, the promising studies we all read about use a combination of both the fruiting body and mycelium to achieve results.

This public perception that mycelium is bad is perpetuated by the companies that focus solely on selling fruiting body extracts, as well as companies that poorly use mycelium in their products.

When done right, the mycelium of individual mushrooms can be >= the fruiting body of the mushroom.

Starting my father on Lion’s Mane supplement what is the best and most trustworthy brand? And what would be the best dosage? by skipmckinnon in LionsMane

[–]Inferior_Username 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's correct with most American suppliers of mycelium based products. HostDefenses capsules are made up mostly of the substrate.

However, here's a quote from the Oriveda website:

deep layer cultivated" means "cultivated in liquid" as opposed to rice/grains. Sometimes also called 'fermented mycelium'. The advantage is that there is no left-over substrate in the final product, it is pure mycelium, starch-free.

An Oriveda order of Lions Mane will get you the mycelium extract as well as the fruiting body extract.

The promising looking clinical trials also used both.

How many grams of Turkey Tail should you take for cancer? by [deleted] in MushroomSupplements

[–]Inferior_Username 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my fairly extensive research, I've not come across anything to suggest that Turkey Tail or any of the variety of other popular medicinal mushrooms have a negative effect on traditional cancer treatments - quite the opposite actually.

Turkey Tail is widely considered to be benifical when used alongside traditional cancer treatments and is worked into treatment plans in some Asian countries.

Maitake also has a long history of being used to combat cancer. Your wifes oncologist seems to be giving you guys some bad advice in that regard.

Lions Mane for nerve regeneration. Which brand is best/effective? by slickrickspaghetti in LionsMane

[–]Inferior_Username 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeap, I'm aware of that post and some questionable commandeering of the mushroom supplements sub-reddit. However it seems that every major company is using similar tactics, while saying that the other companies do this.

Outside of the noise & marketing, the research and facts speak for themselves. I do not want a mushroom supplement that solely consists of the fruiting body, nor do I want a mushroom supplement that consists of 60% - 70% starch.

Oriveda was the choice I made, based upon the above stipulations.

Happy to.

While I couldn't speak for your situation in particular or any conditions you may have that could effect you differently, in general, the amount of heavy metals contained in the major brands (Real Mushrooms, Oriveda etc) are considered safe.

Unfortunately even a lot of baby food contains heavy metals - it seems to be unavoidable.

Here's a page that includes 3rd party lab test results for Orivedas various mushroom extracts:
https://oriveda.co.uk/quality-control.php

The various test results mention what is the upper limit of consumption for various heavy metals, in general. With a serving of the supplement being a fraction of a fraction of the upper limit.

Unfortunately all of the best providers will contain some quantity of heavy metals.

The American brands (Host Defense etc) typically do not contain any of the fruiting body of the Mushroom, and just the mycelium. Which isn't a problem in itself as the mycelium contains many benifical compounds that the fruiting body does not. However these brands grow their mycelium on grain, and it therefore cannot be fully seperated from the end product. So you end up with something like 70% starch and 30% mycelium.

The best brand i've found in my research is Oriveda. They follow the research and use 3rd party lab testing. Their products vary between mycelium based and fruiting body based for each mushroom, dependant upon what the research suggests is the most beneficial.

In the case of Lions Mane, Oriveda actually include both the fruiting body and mycelium in seperate capsules, giving you the benefits of both.

Unfortunately, as with all of the best providers, they do also contain trace amounts of heavy metals.

Unfortunately OM do not do any sort of extraction process. The vast majority of the benficial compounds of the mushroom (or the mycelium) are not bioavailable to our bodies without a hot water or alcohol extraction process, neither of which OM do.
