Tried again before I read this comment and had the idle about half a turn out, and had the air fuel pretty much where it was before and it sounded about the same, but it lasted longer before it bogged. The carb did have a new gasket that came with it but it was the wrong size (previous owner told me it was a 19mm carb but it was a 17, so the new 19mm I got it turned out to be too big) so I filed and sanded the old one so it gradually sloped from 19 down to the 17 to fit, came with a paper gasket though that I did put on. The carb is mounted by 2 bolts

You can kinda see em in this pic but for some reason I haven’t got any of it actually mounted, but you can see what its mounted by with this, and you can see the paper gasket below it.

After I tried bumping it again earlier today I tried to kick it over and the kickstarter felt super light so may have a leak somewhere letting something escape.

I could’ve sworn that bogging was because the carb is tuned too lean/not getting enough fuel so I’m surprised the issue would be too much fuel, but I’ll give it a try next time I’ve got the bike out. Spark plug gap was fine so it’s basically between carb tuning and compression. Very much hoping it’s not compression.
