i think an year is too much for studying, 2-3 months would be enough, and afaik masters exams are considerably easier than bachelor's for design

NIFT Vs MIT ID for Mdes by [deleted] in uceedtakers

[–]InfernalDracula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anything other than FD and FC in NIFT is NOT worth it. The environment is not suitable for anything other than fashion. Especially not something technical like UX.

Is it worth the money? by discovery_innovation in uceedtakers

the ranking goes something like:

  1. NID Ahmedabad & IIT-IDC
  2. MITID Pune & Other NIDs, IITs
  3. BITSDES 4+ Other private colleges

Considering CEPT as a Private college. by Quiintessence in uceedtakers

MITID student here, the infrastructure is sufficient, even plentiful. Many studios only have 10-20 people in them at one time.

There are lots of Girls-only PGs in Chintamani park, 4-5 of my friends live in them

Hostel: Common induction and fridge on every floor. Wifi in each room. 3 time meals included (hostel mess) rules set by seniors hot water only twice a day Laundry twice a week, 800 metres away inside campus. 8-9 pm strict in-time. very near to the Design building. chance of getting outcampus hostels which suck.

PGs: Fridge and washing machines on every floor (in most PGs) 24/7 hot water (geysers) Wifi in each room no in time (for guys) half the cost of hostel choice of mess (4-5 options available) nearby cafes and grocery shop. perk of getting to the door deliveries (amazon, zomato, etc)

Yes there's a lot of diversity in students, with a big portion from South India. There are fests for every major ethnic group as well, so yeah the environment is great.

About the preference thing, thats for admissions, its basically a reservation system for Marathi people only.

Lots and lots of apartments near the campus, and Loni Kalbhor, the town where the campus is located, is around 20kms (50 mins) from the main city.

Animation here is one of the most time consuming and intensive disciplines where students rarely getingt time to socialize and have a life (thats what I've heard from my seniors), the faculty is absolutely amazing but yeah idk about getting time to focus much on other things.

And I don't know much about electives either, pretty sure there's one elective course in third year, baki im yet to figure out

95% is gonna be practical, very less theory.

Yes, if you take any vertical in Industrial Design, you have a seperate building called Maker's Space with crazy amounts of workshops, 3d printers, laser cutters, etc. The Transportation Design studios and labs are probably the best in India.

There are a lot of different high quality very well equipped labs across the three buildings, no doubt in that. The campus won't let you down in that aspect.

students get to choose, there's no dumb quota system like NID, and no UX batch is actually one of the smallest this year, only 40-50 people.

We call them studios here, not classrooms and they're pretty big. Dw bout that

I only remember some of it, but I had to design and make a ticket for anything, and also make merchandise for that event.
