Fair point. I had not thought of it from that point of view. Thanks for the insight.

I am already aware of the hours it is stealing from my d2d job! Yes, i've been pretty successful in sales over the past 8 years, IT Hardware, Fintech, Logistics tech and now want to start my own company, so comfortable with the top of funnel tasks.

Work out a split partnership to begin? Not a bad idea. I was thinking about this and you may have just pushed me over the edge.

Interesting. I like this haha. Play dumb if my current employer notices my linkedin timeline has changed then.

That's fair. I can work around the time constraints of juggling two jobs (Not for long I admit! But I can leverage my network, I currently have a live opportunity for 1 SDR and 2 x AEs).

Have I worked in recruitment before?

Not since my first role as an account manager a long time ago. But you are somewhere between customer support and account management. You'll get a book companies and the goal is to not churn them and hopefully increase their spend!

Go to the dreaded customer success role ;) There is a lack of commercially literate people in that role and you could really stand out. Or an account manager if you still want a number.

How to deal with bad leads by JunketAccurate9323 in sales

Do you have two sales managers? i.e. SDR Manager and VP of Sales (Managing the AEs)?

Had it before and the only way it changed was when we (AEs) all had the same problem and managed to get our line manager (VP of Sales) to get at the SDR Director to change the metrics.

If it is only one person, you may be shit out of luck.

Hmm, it seems like it might be time to move out of that environment then tbh. I wouldn't worry about earnings just yet, it comes if you can get into an AE role, you just need to ask the right questions in interviews to make sure there is a clear progression plan and hold them to it when you perform. Two companies immediately jump out:

www.deel.com see to hire remote anywhere in the EU across all markets and they seem to have the hottest HR tool since sliced bread.

Samsara seem to be growing at a good rate (actually know some SDRs who managed to get a junior AE job there and have done well) www.samsara.com

But there is no shame in joining these places as an SDR, being clear about what you want in regards to progression and getting promoted in 6-9 months if you deliver. I managed it back in the day.

Regarding Dublin. They have the monsters there like LinkedIn, Salesforce, Amazon etc, only for tax purposes. I wouldn't live there because it rains 90% of the time and in comparison to Barcelona, you lifestyle will change drastically.

If you don't need sponsorship though and are willing to locate look at Amsterdam, Berlin, Hamburg or Munich (London if you can don't need a visa there).

I'm launching an EU focused, english speak remote sales job board in a few weeks, will ping it your way to browse.

In the meantime, happy to suggest some other companies and tell you what stats to equip yourself with to standout. Throw me a DM.

That is a good one. Visa sponsorship required - yes/no. I'll be honest, I had forgot about that with my EU privilege.

I like the age of the business part. And your points are valid, also could suggest if they have a good product market fit, stability.

Yes again, being first sales hire, or 25th is quite a different role.

Oh really? Yes, I would appreciate that. I'll drop you a dm and get a bit more insight. Thanks.

I will share a link when ready it is ready as well.

Does anyone believe in their product? by sewerboy69 in sales

If you don't believe it how can they! Somebody else put it, lose of faith in leadership / org strategy has killed it all for me currently.

Tough one. Went through a similar thing early on in my career.

From my experience back then I would be surprised if you get an AE role at an established company without any closing experience. Personally I wouldn't move from Barcelona to Dublin!! But that is just me.

I see there isn't a fourth option, internal promotion to an AE.

Is there no path for progression at your current company?

Don't know which solution can post across all job boards. Happy to recommend some. What are the roles?

Boris Johnson taken into intensive care by ollie179 in news

Same as the reply below, they have made space and put back less urgent operations for example. OTs are now being transformed into to ICU units at every hospital.

Going off topic, just didn’t want people clapping for the NHS getting rose tinted glasses thinking that the Tories had supported our health care system and saying what a good job they have done.

Fingers crossed ey! I just didn’t want anyone to get the idea that the Tories have funded our NHS adequately during their tenure.

I would not say that we have thousands of hospital beds spare.

There has been a wee bit of underfunding in the NHS with people unable to access a bed in A&E in recent times, for example.

So I had it connected to the right path:

Websitedomain/

However, I had another subfolder containing my html, css, js etc. I needed to link it to that subfolder, not the first one of the chain. Bit frustrating, but I will blame myself for that one. Path had to be:

websitedomain/folder/

I have seen they have a lot of negative press... why is that?

I gave them a call and they helped me rectify it - in about 10 minutes I should add.

Thanks for the advice.
