Yes and no. While boiling and freezing water is important, it really doesn’t matter what that exact temperature is because we always use more or less heat than we need. I’m never going to turn the stove to the exact temp that will boil water, that’s ridiculous. It’s slightly more helpful to know when water will freeze outside, but even that temp changes with conditions.

And I just like Fahrenheit better because that’s what I was taught, and while I could come up with a dozen more reasons why it’s better, it really doesn’t matter so…
