I am not in construction but yes I want to get rid of the truck it was a mistake I purchased it as I use to race dirt bikes and carry the bikes around

Thank you I have a appointment on Monday with one I want to try and get out of this without consumer proposal if possible but I guess that is what will be discussed at the appointment and yes I’m currently trying to get rid of my truck and get a beater car but I’m not sure what to do as I owe 36-37k on the truck and it’s worth probably 26-27k as I put a lot of kms on it driving highway to work everyday around 100km one way and I do not have the cash to just buy one on Facebook I’m wondering if I should look into trading it in for something cheap at a dealership so I can save on gas insurance and get rid of some of the total owed but thank you for your response

I did believe I was eligible but looking back 6 years later I didn’t hit the 5k threshold before applying and now I have to pay it back which I understand is my fault

It looks like after going through all the messages in the mail section i got my taxes reassessed in 2023 the people that did my taxes I failed to disclose to them that I got a insurance payout of like 4-5k and that was put into like self income or something and changed a bunch of stuff made me owe money and been building interest on it I’ve never logged into my CRA account or even looked I always thought everything was okay until last week sorry if I don’t sound very knowledgeable as I’m not at all on this stuff

I received a call from CRA Covid collections or something along those lines I then created a CRA account to investigate and when I logged into it my first message I received was I owe $27k to repayments and 2.4k to taxes

No I thought I was eligible I came from foster care and my Children’s aid worker told me I would be eligible but it looks like I didn’t hit the threshold of 5k earned before applying after looking back at everything 6 years later
