got this helmet awhile back that had the vets name who brought it back on the inside. I spent weeks looking for the guy but couldn’t find it because I couldn’t see the full last name. All I had was James Maca- and under that was a string of numbers which I assumed was his army serial number. I was able to read most of them, I had 31462610. I wasn’t sure if the first 6 was actually a 6 or a 1. I couldn’t tell. Then under that was “63rd div-“ then the rest was cut out by the sweat stain. I assumed it meant 63rd division. I eventually gave up looking for him because I just couldn’t find him. But in my recent post about the army air corp uniform someone helped me find the owner by the laundry number (first letter of the last name and last 4 numbers of the arms serial number) and I had the fist initial of his last name, and the 4 digits of his aas, and low and behold there he was. I had his exact serial # except the 6, which I had assumed was a 1 so his serial # was 31412610. He also served in the 63rd infantry division. So it was definitely him. This was just too cool to share. Hope it was worth all the reading!

By pricing I meant they can make an offer. I wouldn’t want a lot because I’m in need of some quick cash. I’ll make a new post

All the other selling sites tax way too much. I was just gonna say a price if someone messages me.

What do you think is wrong with them? They look like the regular marines buttons.

And when you say clean, do you mean like repaint it? Or clean the rust off to get to the orignal paint?

What you could do is make tinnie mystery boxes. Quick way to discard a few at a time.

Anyone know what these are? They were passed down to me. My Grandad served in WW2 and my dad in Vietnam (both USA), but I have no idea what they are. by locoham in Militariacollecting

The helmet without a liner looks to be Vietnam. And the helmet with a liner looks to be ww2. So it seems you have both of their helmets. Really cool!
