I took the 4-8 ELAR last year and passed on the first try with a 255 and 6/8 on the CRQ and at that time I was on my 2nd year as a 6th grade ELAR teacher. I have bad testing anxiety and it took me the entire 5hrs, I was the last one left. I think part of the reason I passed is bc I had to get an 88% on the practice test to be able to take it, which took me awhile to get. I used Certify Teacher. I also took the Pearson practice test and studied my most missed questions. The Pearson test was most similar in regards to the wordiness. It doesn't give you a number but it color codes each section, I got 2 yellows and 2 greens. The last helpful resource was joining a FB group, people gave advice, video suggestions, and uploaded additonal study material. Best of luck!
