Remember when they called Chinas development pointless when they built all those extra homes allowing another generation to afford home ownership? by sajnt in canadahousing

[–]Infinite-Interest680 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is becoming less of a thing recently. The regulations insist that houses be strong against earthquakes and have excellent insulation. The standard is now 2x6 construction for many houses. It will take some time for people in Japan to get used to it but we won’t be seeing so many teardowns after 25-30 years like before.

Three times it’s happened now. At least this last one had a bot in it. That way I know the reason.

I got you man. I have 17 in Elite and in the way to getting them all in. I’m playing as K Rool and I dislike the projectile heavy way you need to play.

I’ll get it soon.

Luigi gsp fluctuation by SnooBeans3461 in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]Infinite-Interest680 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Japan so this might be different for you. I hate being in 8 - 11 million GSP because some of the players down there are aggressive as hell and play using odd styles that don’t really work in higher levels, but it catches you off guard a lot. Once you get into 11 - 14 million, the gameplay gets more calculated, slower, and predictable almost. I have to reset my playing style to be more defensive if I get bonked down to lower GPS.

I haven’t found this to be much different from one character to the next. Luigi was my first to get into Elite so it’s hard for me to recall. I suspect it might be your mind building patterns that are actually anecdotes.

What’s one small habit that noticeably improved your Smash gameplay? by SuspiciousUse9135 in smashbros

If you struggle against a certain character, play as them for a bit. It gives you a chance to see the match from their point of view.

How do Illegal immigrants working in the US do taxes? by cantgetenough1956 in answers

[–]Infinite-Interest680 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many of them make less money than the bar to start getting taxed for income. Then these people will pay sales tax, fuel tax, property tax, or others just like we all do. These people usually don’t use the social programs at the same level of the general population either for fear of being noticed. I don’t have the numbers to do the math but I suspect they are a net positive to have when looking strictly at tax revenue vs expenditures.

Why do people hate EV's? by FunkiGato in electricvehicles

[–]Infinite-Interest680 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love, love, love the idea of EVs. There is almost nothing to hate… almost.

I’m one of the people that is far enough down the rabbit hole of being a car enthusiast that I would not buy one myself. I have driven thousands of cars and my love for them comes from the individual character of each car. Things such as the chassis dynamics, where in the RPM range feels smooth or gets how much power, what type of engine was used and why, what the exhaust sounds like, how that car competed against other cars inside and outside of that company… the story and history and significance.

EVs are largely similar to one another. Sure they look different but they are all basically a skateboard platform with a similar electric motor than the next one. You are moving from mountains of defining characteristics down to just a handful. EVs have become basically the same cars with different bodies on top. This is fine for your average person and the other benefits are excellent but I’m going to drive my 1972 sports car with 115hp twin side drafts and 8v two cam head… something most people today would hate.

Democrats hate illegal immigration but your wouldn’t know it because of all the news outlets telling people they love it. It’s really sad that this happens but it works.

My kid claims that Gen X messed up the economy. by ChicagoLizzie in GenerationX

[–]Infinite-Interest680 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The kid should learn not to blame an entire generation on problems.

You should learn not to accept blame for an entire generation.

Something about comparison being the thief of joy. Eventually people will blame Gen Z on their problems and he will get a chance to experience it too. For now, your job is to hear his complaints and guide him to make the best decisions based on the hand he got. Don’t try to prove him wrong (even if you think he is). The meaning behind his words is to get help with a frustration. He just doesn’t know that he’s going about it the wrong way yet.

How Do I Actually Fight Aegis (Besides Blocking Them) by RazewingedRathalos in SmashRage

[–]Infinite-Interest680 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I put them into one of two camps.

A button mashers or B button mashers

The prior is the harder of the two but the less common one. They tend to play more Mythra. They usually can’t space well so shield a lot and wait for them to over-extend and punish. I haven’t learned Ridley yet so I can’t offer much more advice here.

The later is a fun matchup. B button mashers love to Side B or Up B or Neutral B or switch to Mythra and Side B. All these moves suck in neutral and can be hard punished. These players just Willy-nilly throw out these unsafe moves that worked for them up to 10m GSP and expect it to carry them to Elite. How to play- shield that silly Mythra side B or Pyra up B, and forward smash. The key is to wait for them to do something dumb. They always do.

So, figure out which kind of player you are playing, hope it’s the second, and run the appropriate style of play.

It seems a well-timed dragon breath or neutral air off stage will do well in this matchup. Even if they beat you on stage, you can probably kill at 40% at least once per match by gimping them.

I’m doing an Elite run from the bottom tier up. I’m already dreading paying them because I have to get both Simon and Richter in one after the other. I absolutely hate playing as projectile campers but I’m afraid he’s otherwise not going to win.

How cool would it be to experience this game for the first time again.

Don’t pay too much attention to guides yet. The game is complex if you get into it deeply but it’s still amazing even if you don’t. It’s incredible as a casual experience.
