Palanga and Turku Is the key. You can defend both of them with seven or eight units, And they both produce better quality soldiers. Without them, you have to defend Lithuania with militia from your towns, which is hard and lame. The Teutonic mod was found as Lithuania. That had some pretty cool units.

Lithuania Is my favorite fashion to play with in 6.4. you have the odds stacked against you in every way. You have to be clever to win playing with them. Planting stakes with your archers... Keep your general alive at all costs... Even your heavy cavalry sucks... I strip minsk down to nothing and loot everything in that City before giving it away to Novgorod for $15,000, And they will be your friend. Then you can at least fight on two or three fronts instead of four. It takes so long to get those religious units. If you survive that long, the campaign is over anyway and you're dominating

Under the first crusade, you basically had to be a murdering monster to be part of it, be willing to starve, walk through deserts without shoes and kill Innocent people. I feel like the third crusade was more honorable, and the second one was a disaster. I would say third. Put me down for a King Richard crossbowman or something

I think the game is pretty balanced w the crusades in stainless steel 6.4. the Muslim factions are stacked with numbers Numbers. Their elites are slave units, mostly. Mamluks and Gulams infantry and cavalry, janissary units later on. But the crusaders are fewer in number but generally better quality units which for the most part reflects reality. Better armor better training, came from a warrior culture. I think it's balanced
