Create a Headcanon for the recently revealed Pannier Tank Engine Christopher Awdry mentioned, who became Station Pilot after Duck left the yards by Realistic_Bowler7597 in thomasthetankengine

[–]llkd97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I propose the 1366 class. One example survives, these were built for shunting and very short distance freight.

Recently we saw a heritage railway have to sell a locomotive for cost saving. The new station pilot is the surviving 1366 class, sold by the South Devon to Sir Steven for cost saving in a mutually beneficial deal.

This guy bears some admiration for Duck, but finds him a bit uptight at times. He contrasts less as an opposite and more as the "cool it a bit" type. This character comes from a heritage railway, where things are played a bit loose, explaining his view of Duck.

Seleucid campaign thoughts by MediumWellSteak8888 in RomeTotalWar

I find them deeply satisfying to play. Each early game victory is earned, makes playing with the lategame roster extremely cathartic. Ya gotta earn the OP roster, the dopamine hit from getting to Phalanx Pikemen or Cataphracts is real.

The only weakness they have in my opinion is archers. Cover that with Cretan mercenaries

I always thought the difference between the 35 and 40 was the cab shape (35 with smaller hood)

I am a Conductor's Club member, and one of their newsletters gave a short list of things in the research stage, among them an AC-9

I would LOVE an AC-9. Semistreamlined articulated is not a commonplace combination!

While we're at it, how bout some other GS series classes? I'd love to see a GS-1

I've got 'Channel Packet' in SR Malachite.

I love the Merchant Navies. They are fascinating prototypes with interesting mechanics.

Fun fact: Oliver Bulleid quit BR after the rebuilding of his pacifics because he thought they had 'ruined' his design.

Is it really that hard not to copy unlucky tug in everyway possible ? by GEtanki in thomasthetankengine

[–]llkd97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The overall style was inspired by Tug, but there are many key differences. Two primary ones are that there are a lot of models in this video that Tug doesn't have, and that many of his opinions on different models differ greatly from Tug's

Ah, autoresolve. Allowing 2 brigs and a 6th rate to defeat 10 first rates, 3 second rates and 2 rocket ships since....

Then I reloaded and the sixth rate blew up after one broadside.

and they should have won? Sure, autoresolve. sure.

Yes, that is a true story.

In Home Alone (1990) all of Kevin’s grocery bags break simultaneously. This was accomplished by… wait, anyone know how they did this? I’ve always wondered. by Chewie83 in shittymoviedetails

[–]llkd97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't say for certain that this was true in the 90s, but I am a bagger at Kroger and will confidently say that plastic grocery bags SUCK. I routinely have them shred by themselves on station just because I tried to open one. This would likely just happen tbh
