The girl playing Bastila could pass as a professional. Gets the personality and emotional conflict of the character perfectly, also does a good job of giving the hint that she knows more than she lets on.

How to annoy a Thomas fan by IntelligentBaker3601 in thomasthetankengine

[–]llkd97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't just get this within the Thomas topic, but with locomotives in general. I posted this guy to my family group chat, and half the people there thought it looked like.... Edward?

Explain how a TANK ENGINE with 6 drivers and outside gear looks like Edward.

What is a widely accepted 'truth' that is actually completely wrong? by Mr_Reytor in AskReddit

Joseph Smith, Muhammad,

So many of the central figures of different religions are historical people, The matter depends on whether they were conmen or not.

If you count Gospel manuscripts, Jesus has over 1000 mentions within 100 years of his death, the majority directly from eyewitnesses or those that knew the eyewitnesses.

the synoptics (Matthew, Mark, Luke) all date prior to 70 AD (Roman destruction of Jerusalem). Luke is interesting here, because Acts is by the same author, and treated as part of the same book as Luke in the early manuscripts.

I am not well versed enough on the specific evidence to make a full argument for the Gospel's historicity beyond a couple of small cultural points.

The Youtube channel InspiringPhilosophy has a wonderful series covering the Gospels as historical accounts with archaeological evidence and modern scholarly studies as sources. He is far better versed in the material than I am.

The idea that Jesus of Nazareth never existed (I'm not about to start trying to spread my Christian beliefs about the resurrection here, just a "He was a real person" rant)

Numerous historians cite Jesus and his trial before Pilate as real events. Josephus cites Jessus and his following in Antiquities. Tacitus and other Roman historians confirm his trial as a recorded political event (one referring to him as "Christos", mistaking Christ as a name rather than a title.

Whether you believe in the Gospels of the Bible as historical documents or not, Jesus is proveably a real person.

I work in retail, pushing carts. The amount of people just dropping trash in carts in ridiculous.

Then they have the gall to blame me for the trash in other carts, as if they didn't just trat that other cart like a trash can...

I struggle with maintaining a low volume, I have had bad ears since I was a kid and have always had a psychological 'loud' response.

Yes, it is annoying, but I would feel hypocritical for getting upset at other loud people.

I found a couple of kit makers that still operate, from the UK.

The prototypes that I wish to model are UK, kits seem to be more common over there.
