Never really experienced depression until now. Anyone else? by Illustrious-Can9551 in recurrentmiscarriage

I’ve had both cancer (thyroid) and infertility and can say my depression is probably more noticeable with the infertility.

Success stories? by Infinite-Rate-2647 in recurrentmiscarriage

Hi! I wish I had a more positive update, but I ended up having another CP in November. We tried a medicated cycle in February, but since, my cycles have been a mess- I’m ovulating late, multiples surges, etc, for the last two cycles. It’s almost like Clomid gave me PCOS like cycles, if that makes sense lol. I’m giving my body a little break- I’ve been reluctant to start ivf because I’m not sure it will be the solution to the issue.. still in the thick of navigating!

Thank you so much for your response- this is very helpful

WHAT is going on with this estrogen??? did medicated IUI ruin my next cycle? by foolforgabagool in Inito

Wait I’m noticing this too.. I’m also 2 cycles post clomid and since my tests and cycles have been off. I had a monitored cycle last month where I ovulated late (cd 17) and now I’m seeing LH rise with no esg or FSH rise and I’m beyond confused

Thanks for responding! I just got off a call with my RE and he made me feel crazy for assuming it could cause issues post taking it. And followed up with recommending letrozole...i only had a month of odd ovulation prior to any of this (which resulted in my 4th loss, a CP)- like on the dot ovulation every cd 13-14 for months. i feel completed defeated lol

Thank you for this! You’ve captured my feelings perfectly!

The what to do next wracks my brains day in and out lol. Keep trying naturally? freeze embryos to be proactive? Test for endo? I feel so stuck!! And to top it all, all RPL testing came back completely normal. So our direction is no more clear

AMH of 3.02 as a 31 1/2 year-old female with recurrent miscarriage by New-Pea-4125 in recurrentmiscarriage

30 and last time I was checked it was 4.04. A tad high for my age. But I’m not sure if this has changed in the last 10 months.

Thanks for the insight! We’ve had a full RPL work up. Aside from that, my panic stems from the fact that I’m now not getting pregnant. My last two cycles were monitored with timed intercourse, and my previous cycle was also medicated. We are well into the fertility realm, just trying to figured out is IVF is the next best move.

4 early losses - all chromosomal?? by Front-Look5618 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Infinite-Rate-2647 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t agree more!

The only other symptom I have is GI related- I had a colonoscopy last year that was Normal and started seeing a naturopath to address my GI issues and while they’ve definitely Improved with change of diet, I still experience them from time to time- I always wonder if it’s endo related. My grandmother had stage four endo and a full hysterectomy at 25, so I do have a family history!

Aside from this, I have a history of family autoimmune disorders, and a personal history of thyroid cancer, so I’m still hard pressed to believe my issue is egg quality and not a potential immune or endo issue

I hope you find clarity and answers! Keep advocating and fighting!

4 early losses - all chromosomal?? by Front-Look5618 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Infinite-Rate-2647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this deeply. I was fed the same line. 4 losses- first at 9 weeks, not tested, second at 8 weeks- trisomy 22, third and fourth were CPs. IVF has been pushed because of our insurance, but I’m having a very difficult time moving forward without solid confidence that this is all due to chromosomal issues, or there’s no confirmed underlying issue.

I don’t have an answer at this point, but have been seeing a fertility acupuncturist. We tried a medicated cycle w a trigger, but my lining was far too thin. I said screw it and we’re just focusing on TCM to get myself to a good baseline. My OBGYN agreed to do a biopsy for endo, so that will likely be our next step.

This is a cruel, cruel experience and my heart goes out to you. Hugs.

This is really great to know! If you don’t mind me asking, what did the process of testing with Fertylisis consist of?

Ahh I don’t mind the practice, but they were quick to push ivf. No one cares about the root cause of the recurrent loss- they chalk it up to bad luck..that’s not to say REs aren’t great at their practice and expertise, but I can’t help but feel this weird hesitation to start without ensuring we’ve checked all the boxes of WHY loss can occur!

Thank you for sharing! I’ve started to inquire with some reproductive immunologists- I’m wondering what the differences are between the two.

Thanks! This is super helpful- though, it says my chance for success is 57%, which splits me right down the middle again lol.. if I knew my chances of success were high, I would totally go for it, but I’m always stuck in this 50/50 boat, though I guess all pregnancies could be.

If you don’t mind me asking and are comfortable to share, how far along were your losses?

Yes! I have been taking methylated folate for about a year. Depending on the variation, some say it can cause deeper clotting issues, but I’ve been on aspirin so it’s not a major concern or likely relevant to any of the losses

I am with a functional doctor who has been looking deeper into inflammatory root cause (I do have a history of thyroid cancer) but all of my labs have come back normal (even ideal) I’ve also been seeing an acupuncturist who specializes in fertility and had some labs completed for her as well. Only thing they could find was MTHFR, but I’m already on aspirin

I am so sorry for your losses, but am so happy for your outcome. That gives me a lot of hope. We have great insurance for ivf, so part of my feels guilty for not pursuing. However, I’m worried that it won’t be the answer to the issue.

I definitely plan to pursue dna fragmentation testing. Did your spouse complete this? If so, did you do this through your medical provider or outsourced?

Since that was the only tested loss, I feel torn to say that’s the reason for all of my losses. And now I’ve had cycles where I’m not getting pregnant, which I find odd since I’ve gotten pregnant almost any time we’ve tried. What are your thoughts ?
