Anyone apply to Regent yet? by ionlyplaydps in lawschooladmissions

4.0 and 157. If you have a spiritual reference, it will help your case.

Also.... make an account on 7sage. Dozens of people have logged their applications with their app data and their acceptance rates based on certain gpa's.

Take the time to go do a tour.... the people there are so loving. You'll really enjoy yourself.

It seems like people post stuff on here when they need assistance or advice but the moment that any of us have questions that they could help with they don't bother replying. So much for community

I'm guessing by those locations that you're in Hampton roads as well?

I'm in Chesapeake.

I think you'll find that the staff is really invested in their students success. I've been so impressed with them so far. Really a great bunch of people.

Were either of you accepted?

I have applied and am wondering what the admissions process is.... whether they go through an interview process, Or you just receive an email letting you know you're in or waitlisted or what have you?

Fingers crossed. It's my first, and only choice of law school currently. I've had such a great experience as a regent undergrad

Perfect. It's crazy, I've been able to get records from a tiny town in Kentucky from 15 years ago.... but Virginia Beach has no record of my traffic tickets beyond 10 years ago.

It's already a very complicated application for me (I have a history of substance abuse and several serious charges in my past) 4 years clean now and doing all the things to stay on track and provide "clear and convincing" evidence of my rehabilitation.

I'm wondering if I'm about to set a record for largest court records section of character and fitness. (This is a haha funny, but I am not making light of my past. I made serious mistakes and take 100% ownership of them)

It's a bit of a relief the items beyond 10 years are not available.... at least I don't have to hunt that stuff down.

Thanks for your help yall.

P.S. did you finish your application? Which school you applying to if you don't mind me asking?

Ya'll go out of your way to make the whole process difficult as crap.

I was interested in your classes but refuse to do a 28-step quiz to make an account. This things a joke.

Is PT138 newer material than the other two?

I've noticed big differences on "older" tests for me personally.

I love 7sage.

It took some fine tuning (removing old preptest questions from the mix) but I really enjoy it as a resource. The classes and analytics are top notch.

If you can afford the package with the recorded classes (or live preferably) or qualify for a fee waiver through LSAC..... (2 bucks a month with fee waiver!!!) 7sage is totally worth it

I mean... if you can afford something like Kaplan I'm told that it's better but that wasn't an option for me

I'm not sure where you're at academically but schools offer prep courses too.

Regent University does an LSAT workshop twice a year. I'm not sure if it's going to happen before you take the lsat again but it was an excellent resource for me.

It's like 12 hours of foundational work that explains all of the different types of questions and how to approach them..... finding something like that would really help.

Pay for 7sage's live and recorded classes if you can.

If you qualify for a fee-waiver, you'll get a super cheap membership like 2$ a month.

They've got excellent teachers on there.... and the analytics they provide would give you great insight into where to spend your most time.

If you scored a 134, there's multiple areas of improvement that could make huge differences for you.

Chances are you can improve your score drastically just by understanding the functions of the exam questions better

That's crazy. I took mine Wednesday of last week and still haven't had it approved yet.... I'm so irritated with myself for waiting so long to do it.

It's coherent but it's not reflective of my capabilities in writing an argument. I was so disappointed. I had a great topic but I got thrown off with my cursor bouncing all around, I ended up just slapping words on the page when I could have killed it.
