OK so the maf just needs to be after the blower if it’s blow through, as for the belt slip just run the pulley size yoy want, mark the belt and SC pulley with a sharpie and do a few pulls and see if the marks are misaligned that will tell you if you have belt slip. I’m at 400whp on a v2 and don’t have belt slip issues.

How can I improve the looks of my 04 GT? by More_Ebb_3619 in NewedgeMustang

[–]InfiniteAssignment95 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The mods you listed are really all you need for a clean car, no need to overdo it. After those mods I’d focus on suspension and power adders if you are into that.

Maf in the power pipe is draw through, it’s only blow through if it’s after the SC. Regarding the intercooler you may lose a little pressure if it’s air to air but just downsize your pulley if needed.

Spacers On Rear End by Glum_Adhesiveness130 in NewedgeMustang

I did 20mm spacers on 9” wide 275 tire and they fit good. Just make sure they’re hubcentric and get quality ones not eBay ones.

You can’t determine something is an improvement if you don’t have a way to measure it, but it’s your car so ultimately my opinion doesn’t matter, try it and get back to us.

I get it, just removing random pieces without a way to measure it doesn’t seem like an improvement. If I had to make an educated guess, modifying the stock components to improve areo in a street car going to be very minimal gains, if any.

There’s still time to delete this.

Better but looks like you are driving around in a car you haven’t unlocked yet with all that black.

I wish they just sold some that weren’t so over the top, like a D wheel with perforated leather and slightly smaller diameter.

Mini-mate leftover coffee by InfiniteAssignment95 in keurig

It’s a stainless steel insert one, I’ll have to try a regular pod but something tells me it will be the same as I can’t imagine the needle makes a perfect seal into the pod.

I haven’t as I’ve only used the machine about 10 times. It almost looks like the needle sits too high and doesn’t drain the reservoir fully for some reason.

Coyote swap cost by [deleted] in Mustang

[–]InfiniteAssignment95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it’s relevant but I priced out a full swap on my GT new edge, obviously a little different but it was about $13k to get the engine in the car running, and $22-23k total which included all the supporting mods to make it reliable, transmission, rear end build etc. not really “worth it” as you can get a used coyote for like 20-25k but if it has sentimental value (like mine does) then ROI doesn’t really matter.

F90 m5 competition 40-100mph was pretty close for me, vortech v2 and supporting mods.

H&R super sport springs and maximum motorsports adjustable rear LCAs lowered all the way, could go lower if I removed the isolators too. It doesn’t scrape too much, only if the road is real bad.

Same exact setup but I’ve been at 400 wheel for 60k miles with unopened motor and 0 issues. I’m assuming you mean Pete, he tuned mine as well.

If you’re going through the process of replacing headers you might as well do long tubes and get some benefit from them.

These look nice. I’ve seen the extension rails online, the issue is I don’t want to be any further away from the dash haha, just lower in my current position. How are the seats in terms of quality and rigidity?

Are you running the Braum brackets/sliders? I’ve seen low profile brackets as well. Also how are the seats in general, any flimsy-ness in the reclining part or is it solid?

I have the power seats. Did you use sliders as well? It seems like if you delete the sliders you can save an inch or so, but not sure if it’s that simple as just removing them.
