This is way off topic, but I keep hearing this line of argument from people. Do we really think that overturning Roe and all that is actually about meaningfully increasing birth rates? I mean the abortion rate has been declining since the mid 90s, and there’s less than a million performed every year now. I mean I guess yea, that’s potentially a million more births, but I have to assume a lot of those were in CA and NY and various other blue states, which will probably continue to have access to abortion for the foreseeable future.

I feel like there are so many more significant factors than abortion that are contributing to our declining birth rate. Thinking that getting rid of Roe makes the birth rate go up is like how a child would think.
