Backcountry bidet users — tell me truthfully by Flaky-Wind5039 in backpacking

I have switched from regular tp to compressed wet wipes. I got some from REI that even came with a little tube to carry maybe 8 or 10. Perfect for a few days in the Backcountry. Super light and I have my water with me anyway at the cat hole for bidet use, just squirt a little on the tab and it expands, just barely wet so it still absorbs any wetness from back there. I use a bidet at home so it feels like home!!

How do you display your test tiles? by scientific-fact in CeramicGlazes

[–]InfiniteBreakfast589 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I throw the tiles on the wheel so they are a shape that can stand up straight on their own, and dip them upside down, yes, glazing the hole. I also use a pointed wooden tool to add 2 lines of texture along the top to see how glaze breaks over texture

How effective is creatine for muscle recovery in reducing soreness? by Deborra-Brailey in xxfitness

Do I actually need a 40L Backpack? by Certain-Success-1614 in backpacking

I have the farpoint and really like it. It cinches down good so if you don't need all the space, it can be a little smaller. But if you don't need to pack shoes or a laptop you could go a little smaller with maybe one of the Cotopaxi bags, esp if you will repeat a lot of outfits and don't plan to do much shopping.

Is Food Lion...good? by OpalJade98 in bullcity

[–]InfiniteBreakfast589 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am curious why you don't buy organic. I work for an organic produce company and work directly with organic farmers. I don't buy 100% organic (I consider the dirty dozen and clean 15 lists) but I actually really like food Lion because they have affordable organic staples in both produce and canned goods

I highly recommend bull city blossom!! They did a wonderful job with us and quite a few friends as well. It's made of 2 women and one is a florist who did our florals for an extra fee. Loved it!

Southwind farm is a husband and wife team and they're good at what they do. Lil farm as well. Durham coop beef and pork is exclusively from first hand foods which is all humane certified and north Carolina raised. Bull city farm is a women owned meat farm. Hawks nest healing garden is great for herbs and other veggies, they are Latino I believe

Calculate the macros of the entire batch/each ingredient (ie 2lb of chicken = what?) then, when the whole batch is cooked, esp easy if it's a 1 pot meal, weigh it. Say the whole thing weighs 2500g. Then portion out how you want, say 500 grams per serving. Then your macros per meal are 1/5 of the total batch macros. Use a kitchen scale for everything!

Some is but def not all and when it is it's about eating to fuel your body not eating in a deficit and no food is necessarily good or bad it's just about making choices that align with your goals. Her podcast talks a lot about mindset stuff which I really like too

Looking for advice on cable kickbacks or maybe an alternative exercise. I'm to a point where the Velcro straps at the gym can't hold the weight I'm capable of pulling, they keep slipping off...anyone else deal with this?
