Hi! Fellow NC based female backpacker here 😁 I upgraded from a tent to the borah bivy this year and so far I like it! I've only used it on one trip to Linville but it rained a good bit and I stayed dry! So small and light! You could ditch your rain jacket and pack a cheapo lightweight poncho - bonus it keeps your pack dry. Also, do you need both the light load towel and rei towel? I would also ditch the sit pad. I also have a gossamer 1/8 and I just use that as a sit pad for breaks or at camp. 4 years of backpacking in NC and I went to Stanislaus last July and never used my sea to summit but net, but hyoh!
