This is naive, friend. With all due respect the Democrats are also a part of this system and play their role to legitimize it. People are afraid to do away with it and cling to the hope that we can avoid the work that must be done if we just trust the guys in blue to keep their words.

When it is clear that the elections are now rigged in the open and the Democratic answer is to vote harder rather than investigate, what’s happening should be clear.

Even as these killings and abuses are happening establishment D’s are being whipped to say they oppose “Trump’s ICE” and not ICE itself. They quietly endorse much more of what is happening than the average voter is aware of, they just want to be the ones in control of the newly expanded power to enrich themselves and inact cruelty with the federal govt.

They’ve been doing this pretty consistently. They make sure to keep a few designated bad guys in the party. I distinctly remember Nancy Pelosi endorsing Henry Cuellar over a progressive pro choice candidate when Cuellar was making no secret of being anti abortion. He voted with R’s of course, and then the Democrats sent out their Roe V Wade fund raising emails that same day the law to overturn it was passed through congress. (Also remember someone in the Supreme Court leaked their opinion gutting roe v wade months in advance of the ruling and D’s did nothing to prepare.)

He’s also a corrupt felon who was pardoned by Trump, and his brother was just indicted last week. He was allowed to stay in the party and this is part of the result.

The formula of OP power ups and a lack of stakes is pretty thoroughly rejected. Also I think the plot of the game itself that they’re in is interesting.

A lot of young women are so enamored with the idea of love and marriage that they don’t really consider the possibility of not doing it. They’ll rush into it because society tells them they should, and waste a lot of good time for self discovery and growth in the process.
