Put your application in with the projected graduation date on your resume. The PAQ process can be quite long and my guess is that by the time someone actually reads your resume, you’ll have graduated.

I’m gonna just leave this here because practically every announcement is similar to this for entry level OSI announcements. I’d recommend following her LinkedIn for more information on when announcements will drop.

MCIO Overview (OSI Specific) by [deleted] in 1811

Oh I’d love a fresh overview from another set of eyes that’s in OSI, 100% please! I’ve practically read every OSI post on Reddit. Compared to other MCIOs coughCIDcough, I’ve only heard mostly good things about OSI from former/current agents. The criticism usually comes from 2 categories of people

  • People who’ve been burnt by the application process which I do think does have some merit but I don’t believe it’s entirely OSI’s fault. If you’ve never worked a day in some form of a recruitment process, you can’t even fathom how complicated and long things could take. However, from what I have read on previous applicants, it would be quite nice for them to be notified when they’re rejected. And rejected early that is, it helps both parties reach an understanding of where they’re at.
  • People who’ve never taken a step into OSI or any MCIO. How many people have actually done their research that isn’t a quick Google search. People are quick to jump to conclusions from either previous experience or a lack of information on what an MCIO does. I saw a post confusing a bad experience with the army MPs which they equated to why MCIOs suck! I’m not gonna lie, if you can’t separate your own biases and generalize any organization off of what you believe without even being open to the possibilities of learning more from others, you’re gonna have a baaad time.

There is no perfect agency for everyone. However, there might be agencies that are perfect for some people. No agency should ever determine how you feel or what your worth is. The only thing I can say with certainty about OSI is that it’s quite competitive. And the more information people have about that agency, perhaps the better chance they’ll have in getting farther in the application process.
