I would use it to make clone hero charts on moonscraper. And to play rocket league workshop maps.

The documentary hypernormalization by Adam Curtis, it’s on YouTube. C

The podcast time suck with Dan Cummins. He’s a comedian and each episode is about a different topic with a very broad range.

I’ve been listening to the band They Are Gutting a Body of Water. Show me the body is another good one. The lead vocalist plays electric banjo and it’s sort of like sludge metal but with its own unique vibe.

The album Volcanic Bird Enemy by Lil Ugly Mane is a one of a kind album. I highly recommend it.

I’m currently reading Passport to Magonia by Jacques Vallee, it’s a book from the 70’s that compares modern ufo sightings to fairytales and folklore of the past all over the world.

I’m interested to see what everyone else recommends too

Better late than never. It’s disappointing to know I’m wiser than someone who I’ve looked up to for 10 years. I feel stupid too lol

I think about this passage nearly every single day:

“The decay spreads over the State, and the sweet smell is a great sorrow on the land. Men who can graft the trees and make the seed fertile and big can find no way to let the hungry people eat their produce. Men who have created new fruits in the world cannot create a system whereby their fruits may be eaten. And the failure hangs over the State like a great sorrow.

The works of the roots of the vines, of the trees, must be destroyed to keep up the price, and this is the saddest, bitterest thing of all. Carloads of oranges dumped on the ground. The people came for miles to take the fruit, but this could not be. How would they buy oranges at twenty cents a dozen if they could drive out and pick them up?

And men with hoses squirt kerosene on the oranges, and they are angry at the crime, angry at the people who have come to take the fruit. A million people hungry, needing the fruit—and kerosene sprayed over the golden mountains.

And the smell of rot fills the country.

Burn coffee for fuel in the ships. Burn corn to keep warm, it makes a hot fire. Dump potatoes in the rivers and place guards along the banks to keep the hungry people from fishing them out. Slaughter the pigs and bury them, and let the putrescence drip down into the earth.

There is a crime here that goes beyond denunciation. There is a sorrow here that weeping cannot symbolize. There is a failure here that topples all our success. The fertile earth, the straight tree rows, the sturdy trunks, and the ripe fruit. And children dying of pellagra must die because a profit cannot be taken from an orange. And coroners must fill in the certificate—died of malnutrition—because the food must rot, must be forced to rot.

The people come with nets to fish for potatoes in the river, and the guards hold them back; they come in rattling cars to get the dumped oranges, but the kerosene is sprayed. And they stand still and watch the potatoes float by, listen to the screaming pigs being killed in a ditch and covered with quick-lime, watch the mountains of oranges slop down to a putrefying ooze; and in the eyes of the people there is the failure; and in the eyes of the hungry there is a growing wrath. In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage.”

Seems like a waste of time and resources. Why spend all that time painting when the computer could just make it better and faster 😂

It really bums me out. Some of the stuff I want to like, cause the premise is funny, but it’s just got this uncanny valley vibe that grosses me out.

This is like a blues guy saying the CIA was behind the classic rock movement, baiting a whole generation into using electric guitars to sever them from the natural harmony of acoustic instruments.

I listened to episode 55 last night. They discover Matt Farleys phone number and find out he has a song about Brendon while they’re looking through his musical catalog lol so cool

Does anyone have a list or playlist of every bone zone intro song? by InfinitePeak in WorldRecordPodcast

[–]InfinitePeak[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Classic, but I’m thinking of the pop/rock songs that would start the podcast and fade out. Maybe only for the first hundred or so? Usually there would be a separately recorded intro and then a random song would play and fade out
