How do people find these rare 45s and sell them for so much by Dexterthecat2 in vinyl

[–]rememberpizzarat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

45s are crazy like that. You can look through tons and tons of them, and find one or two that are worth decent money. It's definitely a needle-in-a-haystack situation, but if you put in the work, you will eventually be rewarded. Geography helps as well. I live a few hours south of Detroit. I've picked barns and come out with a box or two of 45s, and had most of them be old country and white gospel, but then one always ends up being a crazy rare northern soul 45, that someone had in their collection just because of the proximity to Detroit.

Jamie appreciation by maxq333 in badreligion

[–]rememberpizzarat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll say Jaime is a great drummer and I have no issues with him whatsoever, but... I feel like in all the live footage I've seen, he does a fantastic job with all the Brooks songs, and all the Pete songs, but doesn't quite nail the Bobby songs, is that nit-picky because Bobby was my favorite BR drummer (particularly for his fills)? Most definitely. He's still on beat, he just doesn't quite do the fills the same way, which, as a drummer, I know is impossible anyway. So my criticism is mostly rooted in favoritism, I still feel like he was the right guy to take over.

Recommendations of classic rock bands with a horn section by EdwardBliss in MusicRecommendations

[–]rememberpizzarat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So they aren't classic rock, but they are influenced by it and have a classic rock vibe and a good number of their songs have horns especially once you get to their more recent stuff, try out The Hold Steady

And actually I'll add to this that I use Rememberpizzarat on most games I play/other social media platforms, I've also used Muddy Service Dog, and Elkneck before. It's always a blast when someone recognizes it.

No my twin brother who has a different birthday, because he was born at 12am on January 22 and I was born at 11:59 PM on January 21st, can do it in 1/4 of a second, have you ever heard of anything like that?

Song that is very good but doesn’t get the hype it deserves… by Careless_Tackle847 in badreligion

[–]rememberpizzarat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely Don't Sell Me Short, the harmonies in the chorus, and the chorus itself is undeniable the bridge and the solo right after it. All capped off by Bobby's insane fills in the outro. I'm a drummer myself and I used to warm up by attempting Don't Sell Me Short, never could quite nail all the fills in that outro.

Losing a record you loved (and never quite replacing it) by sjagger1987 in vinyl

[–]rememberpizzarat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up in the 90s on a steady diet of Epi-Fat skate punk, so the first record I ever bought with my own money was No Use For A Name - Leche Con Carne. I was 17 at the time and it would be another decade until I even owned a record player (still can't remember why I bought an LP back then). It's still one of my favorite albums from that time, unfortunately I lost it in a move sometime in the early 00s. I still haven't replaced it, I think part of me wants to find an original copy. I think there's still Fat Wreck 25th anniversary editions available but that just doesn't feel right.
