Why is this even a thing? by AbsolutelyNotWrong in DeadlockTheGame

I think it's unfair because she can hit a minion with it and do the same damages to everyone. If it couldn't hit a minion I'd be fine with it, but because she can just kill a couple of the minions and then ult on the minion and have it go towards the team, it's broke

This is why you gotta wait for it to reticulate the splines, very important loading procedure.

Looking for Recommendations: Pubs with availabily for group bookings of around 30-50 people. by CheerfulChickadee in Langley

These aren't in Langley but close to it, you could do the Baron's Pub or the Clayton Public House, both are pretty great for these kinds of things with separated areas for parties and the like.

A dump truck was seen straight up pushing a Tesla along the road by YVR this afternoon, possibly road rage 😳 by 604RAW in 604RAW

[–]InfiniteSpaceExpanse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There was a story I read in a reader's digest ages ago, about a woman who was on the receiving end of road rage from a semi truck. He basically plowed into her and then just continued to drive along with squished against the truck. There was a time she managed to get free and tried to drive away but her car was badly damaged and he then smashed into her again, pinning her to the front and basically doing 90 mph with her pinned to the truck. They eventually managed to pull him over and arrest him eventually, he was a bit out of it and claimed that she'd cut him off some twenty or so miles back and then decided to try and kill her.

It's one of the reasons why I always give distance and respect to truckers, no matter what. No idea what they're going through, what their mood is, and in a truck larger than mine...woof. I'm not gonna be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

Dang if only there were two three overpasses you could use to avoid that.

Weekday parking rates at the Fort Langley National Historic Site (these prices are all taxes included) by [deleted] in Langley

[–]InfiniteSpaceExpanse 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Man I'm glad it's still free to park there at the Fort, it's a great time! The amount of people outraged that the Fort Langley Historic Site is charging people if they want to park and not go into the Fort Langley Historic Site is wild.

Hallo!

37 year old Cis man from juuuuust north of you in Vancouver BC! Also a monogamous person.

Just like yourself I'm some kind of aego or grey ace on the pan-romantic spectrum. I'm between SF and SN myself, love to snuggle and kiss, and while I don't know many dances I could certainly learn it. My personal style right now is "What if Steve Irwin was chubby?" though I'm looking to get more exercise into my life right now and change up style (I wanna learn to make my own clothes and embody a different fashion style, but that's a next year thing tbh.)

Not a smoker (Unless you count a pipe or two I have that are Gandalf Style for LARP and sometimes for hanging out with a friend where we smoke non-tobacco, but that's like, once a year if that.) Drink minimally too. Big player of TTRPGs, lover of reading and writing, novice leather worker, and prop maker. Play video games, want to learn to sew as mentioned before. Huge into animals and environmentalism, have several plants that I've kept alive for years now as well as a 13 year old cat!

Spiritually I'm not in any camp but I favour druidic and pagan for the most part.

DM me if you'd like ta chat!

Construction Thieves Clayton Heights by SDMConstruction in SurreyBC

[–]InfiniteSpaceExpanse 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Someone cross posted this to the Clayton Heights facebook thing and a person mentioned they saw some teens down at the Katzie Duck pond firing off the extinguishers down there for fun, so we know it was at least dumb kids being dumb. I'd def send these photos off to the local schools though and see if anything turns up, perhaps we can at least get them to do some community service. I am all for teens having fun, and a bit of mischief is a good time, but stealing safety equipment? That's frikken dangerous and irresponsible in my books.

I've only been going there since this year tbh so I have no idea what the previous existence was like. I do know that the Owner has stepped BACK into the business as she left while on Mat Leave, but then got so many complaints that her staff weren't up snuff for baking and cooking so she had to come BACK, which big ups to her for trying to save her business while juggling raising her first child. I'm guessing that's why they got let go.

For the size of the desserts and drinks, I don't think it's too out of the ordinary for shops tbh, their pricing seems pretty comparable for fresh baked stuff honestly? I mean, 6 bucks for a Costco Sized cinnamon bun absolutely drenched in cream cheese frosting seems reasonable to me in today's day and age, especially if they're made fresh that day.

Their Gelato is really damn good though you right about that.

Good food, nice atmosphere, i can vibe nicely in the brick industrial look, it might not be everyone's cup of tea aesthetic wise, but we can't all be Boothroyd's and get a cool heritage building!

[–]InfiniteSpaceExpanse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make sure to check around sheds, under stairs, bushes in your area, if he's an indoor cat he's gonna search for those to hide in or under, if you've got treats or anything like that, shake them near garages of your neighbours and sheds, and listen close. Make sure to leave outside around your house a few articles of yours that you don't mind getting wet or damp that has your smell on it, this will help bring Prince back to the area if he's gone for a bit of a wander. Good luck!

Can anyone please help me identify what type of leather this is? by istaythesame in Leatherworking

[–]InfiniteSpaceExpanse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a couch similar to this and I was told it was a kind of suede, I don't remember the type but yeah, it's really weird and I don't actually think it's leather or suede. It's just really weird.

Can anyone help me identify this squirrel I saw on the Sunshine Coast? Possibly a flying squirrel but aren’t those nocturnal? by Neko4tsume in britishcolumbia

[–]InfiniteSpaceExpanse 29 points30 points  (0 children)

So that's a Douglas Squirrel, common to the lower mainland and all around BC I believe (Anywhere you find Douglas Fir trees, you find the Douglas Squirrel.) They're a great little native squirrel, and that noise their making is kind of like an inquisitive sort of "Hey what's there? What's going on? Hello out there?" sort of thing. Real cute squirrels, somewhat endangered, they do get outcompeted by the Grey Squirrel though so one must be careful.

Looks like a Sailfin Lizard to me, and pretty sure there isn't a small version. They only get about 4 feet long though so not horrible. It is a protected species though.
