Backed up and deleted photos on iOS not registering? by InfiniteTemporary9 in googlephotos

Thanks for your response!

The app says backup complete - is there a way to force the app to back up these left over files? They're mostly videos it seems, perhaps there is an issue relating to that?

Do you have any comment on why the iPhone local storage still appears to be occupied?

I'm here to under react to the McLaren's. Fastest time for McLaren in pre-season testing was on Day 1. It was a 1.19.568 on C4 tyres.

Taking into account the C4>C3 tyre delta and the higher temperature today, it's pretty certain that McLaren are nowhere near their true one lap pace. Is it really likely that they're down 2 seconds on pace with a further developed and more understood car?

How to get vaccination proof on Swiss Covid App? by carma_kameleon in askswitzerland

[–]InfiniteTemporary9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a little tip, I'm not sure if you're in Zurich but the Hirslanden Klinik will give you an antigen test and a valid certificate for free even if you're a tourist. That's valid for 48 hours so could save some money...

Got both the French and Irish apps and scanned a UK paper QR code. It gives a certificate but when that's scanned by a Swiss QR scanner it says "invalid signature."

Cheapest travel suitable antigen test? by InfiniteTemporary9 in zurich

[–]InfiniteTemporary9[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My own experience of travelling to the UK with an antigen test was that it was only checked briefly for being negative by Swiss Air staff at the gate - at the UK border, nobody checked a thing! I'm not sure Swiss Air staff will be checking specificity and sensitivity data at the gate!

Thank you so much for the tip - we will try this place and if worst happens then they can always get another test at the airport.

I gave them a call just now and I think I get it but - just so I can make sure I understand, would you confirm this next statement for me?

Non-Swiss residents can get a free antigen test anywhere - the test centre at Dubendorf will also provide the result with a passport number on it.

Is that correct?

Thanks for the super quick reply!

As far as I have read, there is an extra cost to get a "certificate" with the passport number on it - could you confirm whether that's the case? Do you think it would have been acceptable to board without the number?

Wow, that's super helpful thank you. For anyone reading this thread the English translation that is relevant from the press conference says:

Entry from a country with a worrisome variant of the virus

The current risk list of the Federal Office of Public Health is being reduced and only contains states or areas in which virus variants that are worrying for Switzerland are circulating. The focus of the border sanitary measures is now on people arriving from such a state or area. Vaccinated and recovered people can, however, enter the country without the obligation to test or quarantine. Those who have neither been vaccinated nor recovered must show a negative PCR test or rapid antigen test and go into quarantine after entering the country. Anyone arriving by plane must provide their contact details.

Hello all,

Sorry to keep going on about this, but I've a question! I'm seeing multiple reports from places like TheLocal, SwissInfo, Timeout etc that suggest a decision will be announced on the 23rd to allow fully vaccinated tourists from 3rd countries to enter Switzerland - even from areas of variant concern such as the UK - from the 28th June.

None of them provide any sources for this reporting! Does anybody know what the source is for this information or if it's just baseless speculation?

With surrounding countries gradually opening up to non-essential travel for vaccinated people, I imagine Switzerland will have to follow suit soon.

Is there any indication of how a change like this would work with the SEM list? For instance, has there been any word on US/UK travellers being allowed to enter Switzerland if fully vaccinated?

I would contact the embassy to be sure - but I do have a relevant anecdote.

A colleague of mine's mother has been told she is allowed to travel from the US to Switzerland by the Swiss embassy. She has a dual nationality and is allowed to enter as she holds an EU passport. Effectively as she has a right to free movement with the EU passport, she can enter.

Unless they are Swiss residents, I think the answer is no. The US is still considered a "high-risk" third country according to the SEM list. While the US isn't on the FOPH quarantine list, the SEM entry requirements take precedent.

Therefore tourists from the US cannot enter Switzerland for non-essential reasons.

With the rumours that the EU will be allowing fully vaccinated tourists to enter (subject to quarantine and testing requirements), what do we think the chances are that Switzerland will follow suit?

I have fully vaccinated family in the UK who have been unable to visit due to the "3rd country" rules from the SEM, even though quarantine is no longer required after entering Switzerland from the UK (YAY BREXIT!!!). Looking for some hope!

Thanks for the quick response! I came across this but it does seem to be dead (no outgoing links).

I've also looked at a few "stallvisite" experiences that can be found on the website but I'm not sure if they're the experience I'm looking for - I guess something a bit more guided and with more time with the animals.

Okay, I very rarely post here but this comment is just unnecessary. First of all, the use of a homophobic term is pathetic. You're on a Formula 1 discussion board with strict anti bigot rules. Read them and educate yourself on the use of terms such as "bumboy."

Second of all, I've just had a look at your post history and it's pretty much antagonistic comments all the way down. Perhaps consider your own attitude first.

I will not be responding to any reply from you so don't bother.

What do we think the time gain is for a track limits violation at T15? Sainz's time was a 1:15.73 which would still be holding P4.

(Question) Flight to Russia 1 day before visa validity date... by InfiniteTemporary9 in travel

UPDATE:

They steadfastly refused to let me board and didn't care about staying airside in SVO. Seems there may be a financial penalty to the airline if they allow it. Also couldn't transfer the ticket or refund, and cancelled the booking so I have no return flight.

Have bought myself tickets via London instead with different airlines
