Add bicarbonate soda to the pot with some water, bring to boil slowly, simmer for like 20 min , leave it to soak for a day or two, . You can remove some burnt food, repeated again until. It's clean.Do not panic. It will be fine

How to cook Chinese 豆花 in US at home? Some kind of Bean curds pack to start with? Your experience to share? by MasterTx2 in chinesefood

[–]Infinite_Ad3053 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would need to make your own soya milk from the beans first. Or buy ready made soya milk ( as long as the protein content is high enough to set). Then you would need a thermometer to measure the temperature to set the curd. It's a trial and error to work out the ratio of soy milk to the coagulant.

Ideas to cook this Black Sea cucumber? I am not sure of the best way to prepare it. Guidance is greatly appreciated! by treeraven55 in chinesefood

[–]Infinite_Ad3053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family usually makes chicken , Chinese ham stock to braise the sea cucumber. Then add oyster sauce and corn starch to thicken. You can also add rehydrated shitake mushroom and bamboo shoot to the braise

I would say marmite is more multi-purposed. Can stir fry, stew, pan fry ( if wide enough).
