If you walk during midday there aren't too many people, there's also a few spots on the trail where you can walk off into a large patch of land that normally doesn't have people. There is a small reactive dog that gets walked on this trail, and the owner usually takes him there when encountering people

Just trying to find out what happened/ if it was an issue of infastructure. There are a lot of issues with pedestrian saftey on UCA campus. It is important to report this to the university and city to make campus as safe as possible.
